Gooden and Strawberry inducted to the Mets Hall of Fame  

i was a huge fan of darryl back in the day

yeah I would say that these two are definitely the prime examples for too much fame too soon in their careers and so much talent and they just wasted it on drugs and alcohol and didn't dwight gooden just get arrested the other day for driving under the influence of drugs or something like that.

these players had so much fame so soon into their careers that i think they just got too full of themselves and let the fame overrun there incredible talents and that just ruined them as people and got them in a lot of bad situations and becoming so famous so soon and winning the championship at such a young age for both of them I think they lost sight of what was important and for that I think they will always be regretful.

I remember when both of them seemed to be given up on and had basically a second career with the yankees and dwight gooden had a no-hitter with the yankees and darryl strawberry had some big hits back in 1996 that helped the yankees win the world series that year so I will always have a good feeling for those two for that year, but it is sad that they couldn't control their lives off of the playing field.
