In which category you belongs to - Conservative minded or Modern minded?  

hell0 my friend! i think and define myself to the both categories, because sometimes I act and take decisions to my problems and other things like a conservative minded person and sometimes I do it like a modern minded one, because it really depends on the situation i am in to! Because sometimes, it is really better to mind as a conservative person, because the conservatism is sometimes more reasonable than the Modern

A conservative minded person can be a Modern thinker as well as the opposite.

I can see how both can work for people, I see people doing both actually at different times.

A person may like this new way of programming, but at the sametime wants to be conservative in how it is implemented.

I am both. I believe people need to have both in order to grow with the world as it grows around us.

I see the issue as conservative versus progressive. I'm a fiscal (money) conservative and a social moderate. I can take only so much progressivism before I say its gone too far. I believe we need to have a safety net for those in our society who can't do it on their own, children without parents, the aged without family, the sick without family, etc. But I say it's gone too far, when we're supporting people who are able body and can work (for decades). Some people need help from time to time; e.g., they've lost their job. I don't mind helping out until they find a job. But after years of not finding a job, I say it's time to go to work...I'll give you a job (cleaning up city parks, highways, etc.; filing at the city courthouse, etc.) No work; no money. Currently in the US, I believe we've swung way too progressive and I'm ready for the swing back to conservativism. Besides that, we have one heck of a debt to pay off.

I can say I go for both categories, Myself sometimes having a conservative act and thoughts and views of things,And i also open minded kind when it come to people around me considering others makes me an open minded individual.
It depends actually in the situation, But i can say I can adopt myself very easy to whom i came in contact.

Though I am conservative, I am not opposed to welcome change.If the change for the good purpose then we can welcome it.But, however old is gold. We can not deny that.
In our dress we welcomed some changes but we are making some restriction on women on their dresses. It is because of Indian culture.

i am in between. i just not follow all the things as they were. i just like to improve or change them if there are some problems with them. but if there are not then i would like to follow them. but some time i also like to opt also the new things it does not mean i just follow all new. so i am a bit moderate of both.

i grew up in a very small town. my parents thought we should study our culture, learn a few foreign languages and respect everyone and everything on this earth. juggling those values were not easy. but i've come to realize now how important all these are. as i look back i can see my roots deeply planted and my sight global. i would say i am both conservative and modern minded.

Well am modern minded and also conservative on certain aspects. Modern in thoughts, like throwing the superstitious beliefs and believing the scientific things. And at same time, never go out in the ultra modern society, which has no meaning and lots of show offs.

well, i will say that i belong more to the conservative-minded person... i was brought up by my parents like that and i think there is nothing wrong at all with being conservative-minded... as you say it yourself in your post, modernism would not always been as good as it seems to be... so for me, i still prefer to stick to conservative mind while adapting some modern thinking if i think they are good... take care and have a nice day...

I consider myself conservative in some respects. At times I can be fiscally conservative. I live in a very conservative town. This kind of conservative is very sickening. There is a tint of racism here and change is not too welcome unless businesses can get money out of it. Further making things sickening is a major company that chooses to lie and doctor documents to keep from paying benefits to its past employees. In this city, people are only for modernization if it benefits them financially. I am also conservative religiously in some aspects. I look and see people calling some things old fashioned which are really new fashioned because how can you tell a God who has been here before you and in the future ahead of you, that He's old fashioned? So you see, some moral codes of the Bible I firmly believe in.
