Have you ever published a book?  

Oh my, what is a "international standard book number?" Is that for selling books in other countries? If so, I think for now I will stick with America..

I did and am not comfortable with it plus I'd like to get my story in book form for those who don't have a computer. Thanks anyways..:)

Thanks iheartblogging, I saved this for a friend who does have a lot of writings. As for myself, I just started and at my age, doubt I would have much more, esepcailly since I am deadlock on another story..

Anyways, maybe it won't be published until I am gone, because the content in it, it might be better I don't have to listen to people argue about how controversialit is.

That's the way I feel about one of my novels; because it is based on a true story, I am afraid to publish it until the people involved in it are dead.

However, certainly don't let anything stop you from continuing to write! =)

Oh yeah, I will, but I warn you, as a new writer, I don't have anything but one book. I guess I could try to write a short story, but I don't have any ideas, and I am now researchign for my second story that continues from my first one. If only I can get someone to read it and let me know if it is even worth it, though I have had some read parts and they love it, but they don't have any contacts..

I am also a new writer myself. My last book was published on 2007. So here is three years gape coz i am doing doctorate in literature, yet i am writing a novel partly on women based on faminism. The english name of it would be " gossips of uncounted lives". Anyway i want to read your story, if u dont hesitate then mail me. I am sending a pm. Again i would like to say u that if u want to continue a story from the first one, then it would be a novel. Keep it up.

I'd say it's a novel, over 81,000 words..I could send you may summary, but I think that is the problem, people read the summary and turn tail, they don't want to mess with it..

Hello, all readers are not same.
As a lecturer of literature i would like to say u that a novel has no limit of words. And shortstory should be written as that a reader can read it in a single sit. Lol

That is what I meant, it is not a short story and does take a while to read. For example, if I had no one to interrupt me, I can possibly read a story like this in one day, but not in one sitting..

Really? If you are not a friend yet, can I request you and then send me a link to check them out? My main problem besides knowing how ready my story is for publishing is money and if I can get help and pay for their services after the book is on the market, that would be great. I already have a lot of people wanting to read it, from here, MySpace, Facebook and my personal family and friends. So even if I break even, it will be good enough for me..:)
