Affairs between the sexes?  

Hello, Wuzzle. On the surface, you would appear to be right, but I think you're trying to generalise too much here. It's circumstances that determine whether someone will head into an affair, not gender. Man or woman, if we're truly happy with our partner - and not just fooling ourselves that we are - there's no way we'd have an affair.

I agree with you that women are better at concealing affairs. Whenever I've heard about someone being aught out in an affair, it's always the man. Women either go undetected or hoose to reveal the affair when they want to.

I think that it depends on the situation. I think both sexes have certain abilities as far as having an affair goes. For example, I'm a stay at home mom. I can get into my husbands business but unless someone clues me in, he could say he was "working late" and really be spending time with another woman. I also think that a lot of men have the ability to look into a woman's eyes and lie. But that doesn't really just go for men I guess. Pretty much anyone who can find themselves having an affair, is going to be able to lie about it to cover their butts. What is your wife's position on things? I do agree on your bar scenario though.

Oh, I agree with you my friend... It is easier for a lady to have an affair with a man and their success rate should be 80%, generally, I trust! A man can have affairs too and many of us do that, but it isn't very easy. I mean, a date might end up good and even with lip-locks and all; but not with intercourse, for sure; when a man is playing hard for it. But when a lady is determined, she can always get things her way with 80% of men...

This is a good topic to discuss. I feel in my opinion I think men and women have an equal oppurtunity to cheat. Men at a job Women at a job and there you go. You could be having an affair at work and no one would know. I do feel anyone could cover up an affair but usually these things have a way of leaking. I see where you may feel women could more easily but there are men that are sneaky and as a matter of fact I know one man that cheats on his girlfriend all the time and she would never even know! Given that it takes 2 people to have an affair, it should logically be the same. I think you're right about the sexual harassment charges being made - maybe its because men have the sort of ego that would see it as flattery... maybe its because more men are on the look out for an affair. I think its a gross generalisation to say that women look into everything their mate does - there are plenty of possessive and jealous men out there... of course, we could come back by saying that maybe women are more committed to relationships, more observant and simply take more interest in their partners I think you flatter the male species to suggest that women are really that bothered about whether a man is paying attention

I think that you are right. I think more men are fine with being the bit on the side than women are. Women are more likely to want the man to leave his wife for her, whereas more men are happy with a bit of sneaking around.

However, I do not think that one gender is better at hiding an affair than another. It all depends on the lifestyle they lead. If a man or woman is always in the house then all of a sudden they start popping out for an odd hour or two both would looks suspicious. However, if they have jobs or commitments that mean they often leave the house for an hour or so at a time then this would not be suspicious.
