I wish it would come back instead of all this foolishness..thats what the kids should do is dance.

Why did I stop? It is part of a very long story. I suffered abuse of all four kinds for the first 22 years of my life. I KNEW I was an ugly freak and that no one would ever want me. Every day I was told so, and told I should do the world a favour and kill myself.

As you can imagine, I lived a lonely life with no friends, but I was talented. I topped the school and won several drawing and writing and other competitions. I had a good job and received quick promotions, but I constantly searched for something - anything - to fill the VOID in my life, but nothing satisfied for very long. Ballroom dancing was one of those things.

My life changed completely when I was 22 years old. My dancing partner was a creep. I didn't want anything more to do with him and ballroom dancing, as most pursuits, faded in its attraction.

I LOVE music, especially light classics and the old 50s-60s love songs, and no doubt I would enjoy dancing again - not in the competitive and strictly regimented fashion as before, but just for pleasure.

However, I am happy with my life as it is. I really don't have much spare time. I have been VERY happily married for 50 years. We don't go out "partying" or anything and I would never dance with any man except my husband who has two left feet when it comes to dancing. I don't miss dancing because I have all I need.

And I am so happy you have a good long marriage to a husband you can trust even if he can't dance hahah
