| So, I wouldn't really consider myself OCD or anything but I do not like when things are messy. It's like a mosquito constantly biting me...eventually I have to scratch it. I do not like when people are messy either. Whether it be your car or your home it bugs the hell out of me. I know people can't be clean 24/7 because we get tired, we have to work, things happen, etc. But there comes a time when you have to take responsibility and be an adult and clean things up. For example...I shouldn't walk into your room and not be able to see the floor because of the clothes that are everywhere. Usually, I give the benefit of the doubt the first or second time...but after a week or 2 if those clothes are still there and not only that but are compounded by even MORE clothes, that is when it becomes a problem for me. If the dishes in the sink smell like the sewage outside..it's time to clean it up. There is no reason for a home to look like a construction site. Dirty things harbor bacteria and after graduating from medical school that is ALL I can think about when I see a dirty house. I am also a big personal hygiene kind of person. It is a turn-on when someone takes pride in their appearance and the way they smell. I don't like cockiness, but I like a certain amount of confidence when you put on an outfit and wear a cologne or some accessories. HOWEVER....when I step foot into your house, it should reflect the same thing. There is nothing more unattractive than someone who looks and smells like a million bucks but when you go in their house it makes you not want to move from the front door. I cannot stomach someone with bad body odor. I mean you should be able to smell yourself way before I do so why should I have to say something about it?? When you come out of the bathroom from urinating, I shouldn't smell you [I'm speaking in terms of women]. If so, there is a problem worth addressing. Usually, like I mentioned before, I give the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps they had a long day and didn't have time to shower. Perhaps they were working and haven't had a chance to go home. Perhaps they don't have the money to buy the necessary products to combat the odor. But, if it becomes a recurrent thing...there is a problem. You can make excuses for it in the beginning and they might be true...but you cannot use those same excuses 6 months down the road. Something has got to give. It is a HUGE pet peeve of mine, I swear. I hate to be such an a.s.s. about it but it bugs me so much. I cannot tell you how much I am peeved by bad body odor and a filthy house. It LITERALLY makes me sick to my stomach. If you turn to talk to me and you KNOW you haven't had time to brush your teeth, try NOT to project your breath my way. It's not polite [TO ME - other people may be different]. I don't think a lot of people know the importance of brushing your tongue. A lot of people overlook it and I guess that's OK but it bothers me. Your tongue harbors a lot of bacteria just like your gums. If they are not brushed and kept clean, bacteria manifests itself and multiplies causing all sorts of oral diseases. Then, you think you're going to KISS me or perform oral sex on me with THAT going on??? OOOOOOOOHHHH NOOOOOO!!! lol If your tongue is any color other than pink, it needs to be brushed, point blank. Most toothbrushes these days come equipped with a special piece on the underside of the bristles that is used to clean the tongue. It's not decoration. OMG! And I just want to yell and scream and rip my head off when I see someone use the bathroom and not wash their hands. Can you say EWE!! I mean, come ON! You expect to come touch me with those hands?? You expect to go eat with those hands?? I live my life like this...I ALWAYS try to do the right thing because you never know who is watching or listening. I notice some people will go pee and just because they didn't do number 2 they feel like they don't have to wash their hands...WRONG-O! Urine is waste that is why it is excreted. It's funny because I can say this till I'm blue in the face and people will still do what they want but I feel like I can only voice my opinion. A lot of people do things out of ignorance [they just don't know any better]. Some people need to be taught...If I gotta teach then I will if it helps us both have a healthier, cleaner, better smelling life lol With me, a clean house helps me feel better. If I had a bad day at work and I come home and my house is not clean. I feel like crap. Once I clean up and take a shower, I swear, my headaches go away, my worries go away, and suddenly things don't seem as bleak anymore. They say cleanliness is next to Godliness. God is not a God of mess...so why should we be?? It's just so much easier to hug someone and cuddle with a significant other when they don't smell like they haven't bathed in 2 days and have been walking in the sun for hours. Would you agree?? I make it a point to wash-up even if I have to run out really quickly because things happen and I don't want to say, "Oh, I'll just be a minute then I can come back and shower" because anything can happen while I am out and now I haven't showered...ewe! I don't know what possessed me to write this but this is just something that peeves me so deeply and it's hard to tell someone that you love these things because of fear that they will be hurt and never talk to you again...man....I don't know...I hope I didn't offend anyone [that is NEVER my intention] I only mean to educate and enlighten with my opinions. As far as cleanliness and hygiene goes. What do you think??? How do you feel about cleanliness and hygiene?? -Sayurii |
