|  This creature is one of the most feared icon of Japanese folklore, These creatures will only haunt you if you disrespected sacred places. They usually start appearing as an ordinary woman. she will ask you to get out of the place because it's sacred, igf you didnt listen to her she will wipe her face with her hand and guess what, her face will disappear. Yes what you will see on her face is a smooth feature less skin.
Anyway during 1959, An American advertiser said that during his stay at Japan he saw a Young woman combing her hair in the mirror and when she turned around, she have no face.

| |  the japs have a rich folklore as well similar to us filipinos.
not really surprsing since they also believe in nature having spirits like the forests, the seas and oceans, and even the air. must have somehtign to do with their earlier belief that all things in world have a 'soul' or at least soemthign to corresponds to one.
plus, also consider that japan secluded herself from outside contact for a good time before she became a military power in world war 2. anyway, interesting to note that japan share similar stories/folklore with us filipinos.
must be an asian thing. lol!
