The Antique Doll  

I'm not sure if this is very american : there is also a bury of an antique doll at the beginning of Countess of Segur "Sophie's misfortunes" -- a book for kids --, and I remember to have read the "I am on the N step" elsewhere.
What is fearsome is the doll photo !
This "scary story for kids" is good for parents who are not listening to their children . I like urban legends with a morality : these short stories are our modern fables.

yeah you are right, sometimes parents should listen to their children after all children don't lie. and besides i think in the story they don't even know where that evil doll came from...
huh! its not real but it does makes me feel bad for the mom and pity the poor girl...
if only she listen to her...everything should have changed...

EEW!! I'm not sure what the mother was thinking, but if I were her, I wouldn't care who sent that doll! It's creepy, and she shouldn't have forced her daughter to keep it. That way, if hey throw it away, the doll would go for both of them.. LOL..

Anyway, it's creepy at the end of the story and probably hateful for Lucy because no one knows what happened and how this doll kills her and then they bury it with her! That would really be annoying. Oh and guess what. Right at the time I'm typing this, i hear a scratchy sound and something falls off from our fridge..

I realized it's the spiderman magnet we have that's on the fridge. It's a toy with wheels and a magnet underneath. I guess one of the kids put it there because of the magnet. It just fell off while I was typing. Talk about creepy.

I hate this.. I started reading other stories from that website, and now I'm creeped out. I better stopped. It's good for a boring day. You know during noon time, when the sun is shining brightly, and there are a lot of people outside.. When something falls off the fridge, and you won't mind it much... LOL

That is a very very creepy story indeed. Words can not express how creeped out I was. I wonder the origin of the story. It sounds a lot like the movie Chucky.

well man the doll look so really strange it's scary and the story is some sort of an spooky tale but i think it's a scary one

Thanks for the link, I was curious and I ended up reading several stories on that site. I knew some of the stories, but I also discovered some stories that I had never heard before. The story about the little girl and the doll is scary. It reminds me of another story that I have read, but I don't remember the name of it. I also think that the message in the story is to listen to the child even if the story sounds unbelievable, because you never know, it might be true.

I had not read that one before. It reminds me of another story I've read at some point. One for telling at ghost stories around campfires, except that one ends with you yelling out "GOTCHA" or something similar.

Parents SHOULD listen to kids. I think kids (and animals) are more perceptible to the paranormal.

I was so annoyed by the story, the mother of Lucy is very stupid. I dont know if it is true but I really hate her mom, she drive her to death. Older people really wont listen to a scary story of a child but sometimes, they are true.
