They used his father's words for something that happened after his death ... I'm not sure his father would have commented everything the way it turned out in the ad.
For me it is a very cheap way of making money and trying to straighten something out ....
There's no courage - it's an ad, it's all about $$$$ ... a money making machine for a company that almost lost it's most profitable icon.

I really don't care what happened in his private life, it's his business (and of his family...). I never put his golfing in question because of what he did in the bedroom. I think it's cheap to sell himself this way, that's all.
