The Serial Killers...   

Hello myLotters... I am sorry for bringing up this sadistic topic, but it is worth discussing, trust me.

I just read an article about a serial killer who existed before more than a 100 years. No I am not talking about 'Jack the Ripper'. I am talking about 'Johann Otto Hoch'. He was a German immigrant to America in 1890s. It is estimated that from his arrival in America he married and killed 23 ladies in 15 years. His method was thus. He was a handsome fellow. He seduced rich but lonely ladies and trapped them in love. He would marry his victim and would kill her in a few months, before getting all her wealth signed in his name. His tool was Arsenic- a deadly poison! Arsenic was available everywhere in those days. The procedures to detect it in a body, were complicated. So the doctors never tried those methods, unless ordered from the Law Enforcement or courts. No one suspected Hoch, except a talented Detective called Shippy. Shippy kept on Hoch's trail for more than 15 years and finally caught him. He was sentenced to death, of course.

The worse facts are these: He proposed his sister-in-law over the death bed of his wife. After being sentenced, he assumed boyish innocence and joked with the prison guards, before going to gallows. Awful man!!!

What makes one do such things for money? He killed so many ladies, without any feeling? I have read of many more such stories of serial killers. I am sure many American who lived in 1970s remember 'David Berkowitz'. He killed for the sake of it- not for money or sex! What kind of deamon is born in human shape, when these people come to earth? Have you read about such psychopaths? Please share...
