Buying wedding gift  

The only thing she said was she likes angels. I only have a walmart and k-mart to go shopping, everything else is too far away for a weekday trip. I doubt they have the etched glass idea, that is something that would have been cool, one that also had angels in the glass. The scrapbook idea is good too, I am going to write that one down..

That would be a good idea, except I don't know the size of her bed and she isn't going to be home today, since it is the day before, she will be out getting last minute things done. (and no cell phone..)

A vase, that is another I am writing down, thanks Beautyfactor..

I saw this on my way out to buy something and did add the vase to it..I ended up buying 2 glass candlestick holders and a pair of ivory candles, plus a glass picture frame with "happiness is forever" etched into it. That along with the gift bag, all cost under 20.00..:)

You did really well for them. Got any pictures? (If you didn't have time, I understand, you had to wrap them and start planning,getting ready, etc.). I bet it will be a wonderful wedding.

Actually I can take pictures, but I may not go, our van broke down..

Oh, I'm sooo sorry to hear that. Is someone else going that could give you a ride? Many people car-pooled to my wedding.

I don't know who because this friend was someone I met in this church to which I no longer go. She was the only one who kept in touch with me, which is why she is a good friend, she didn't turn her back on me. I tried calling the Pastor's wife, but I'd be shocked if she returned my call, one reason I stopped going, no response when you try to call..

That's ok, really none of the churches around here like my style..I guess that means I am peculiar...hehehehe...:)

Nah, it just means you're in a really stuffy area or you haven't found the church out there that is right for you. Personally, I like the outdoors and a few friends that believe similarly, wherever two or more are gathered in his name and there was prayer on a mountain top, on a boat on a sea with fishermen and in a desert. Not very often in temple and one time made a whip of ropes and chased everyone around.

Yeah, done that before, except if it is raining or cold, that doesn't work too well, still need shelter from the storm...lol

Praying I can do, it's the dancing especially on wet grass, you know how dangerous it is to dance on wet slippery grass???

I already did my shopping and did get some candlesticks, but not at hallmark, I should have thought of them..

When my husband and I married in 2000, we were given 2 huge bath towels (think beach towel sized). They're the only towels from then that we still have. Towels tend to shrink and as we all get bigger around, we need more towel. Those were the best! Sometimes simple things mean the most.

I could have done that by buying like white or ivory towels that would match any decor. But I already got the gifts, thanks eileen..

Always good to have ideas for the future.

That is what I did MsTickle, except our van broke down, so I am going to invite my friend and her new husband over for a cookout or something and give her her gift then..Also, you wanted to know about the slow down dish and how it works? I posted up a video of Penny using it, you can see from watching how it works..:)
