|  Are you watching the new show LIFE? It's awesome.. the plants seem to have awareness somehow... I've always thought they do have some kind of awareness..
Like the Venus Fly Trap... the fly goes in and starts eating.. he touches one hair and a 20 second timer sets.. and then if the fly touches a second hair within the 20 second countdown, SNAP!!! the venus fly trap slams shut and the fly is imprisoned and is consumed over the course of a couple of weeks.
Another one.. the Monarch butterfly lays its egg on the leaf of a milkweed.. they larve hatches out of its shell and starts eating on the milkweed plant.. the plant defends itself by producing milk and many of the caterpillars get drowned in the milk.. so only a portion of these caterpillars become butterflies. Then when the surviving caterpillars get bigger they go for the kill and disable the leaf by cutting off it's defense mechanism (the milk)... these insects and plants have some sort of intelligence.. don't you think?
What say you about the wonder of plants and their symbiotic relationships with insects, birds, and other animals?

| |  nope I haven't really watched the show, I don't really watch much tv, I just get to look up at the tv and watch a bit then go back to the computer so I don't really know what is going on on much of the tv shows these days.
I have been sleeping all day actually for about 4 days now since I have the plugged ear.

| |  I have watched it off and on. I am not much an "animal lover" of that type of animal. Interesting tho and the photograhy is amazing.. the most colorful things in the world are these little creatures and unusual animals. I just watched a few mintues tonight and they showed a little toad...the size of a postage stamp! Pretty small, and the thing was so ugly, but being so small made him a little cutie!

| |  Are you kidding me?? This is right up my alley and exactly what I've been thinking all of my life, but, people think I'm nuts. I feel the same way about animals. Animals think a whole lot more than we give them credit for.
What's the name of this new series? I usually try to stay away from Lifetime because the movies can be a bit sappy for me.
I remember a few years ago I watched a show called, 'Beyond Belief' hosted by Jonathon Frake (Number One to Captain Picard). There was a story about a home that was burglarized and the only living thing that 'witneessed' the crime was a plant. They decided to take the plant to the precinct and half jokingly hooked it up to a polygraph machine. At some point while it was hooked up they had brought in a guy who had recently committed yet another crime. As soon as the guy passed the plant, that plant went crazy and they got the guy! I would have loved to have been there during court testimony. That must have been quite tricky for the lawyers! LOL!
Anyway, studies nowadays show that plants do have central nervous systems like we do, but, they just don't know where it is located.
I live in California. What's the name of the show and what day and time is it on in your area of the country?
