Is the PLANET like......... |
| |
| With the Volcano and all the planes out of the sky. And they say the Earth, most like will cool down a some. I was thinking, and do play with this thought. Is the Planet like (example) A boiling Kettle. That the water in the kettle is the SEA, The heating Element is the Sun, Would you think as the Sea heats up, it helps the core to get hotter. When the kettle boils it bubbles and spews water. When the Sea heats up and heats the Core that the core gets to a point that it spews up and bubbles over through the Volcano's. When it does this that the ash from the Volcano masks the Sun from heating the SEA and so the Sea cools down and so do the Volcano's settle. Do you think this is a way that Mother Nature does things??? Like we are seeing now??? Do We (Man) really understand how Mother Nature does things are We not still learning to do things better here on Planet Earth. HICCUP/ | | | | | |

| | Hatley I think I have about as much grey matter as the brains who tell us what its all about.....Like me they have no Idea. So my thoughts make as much sense as their gobbledy Goo talks do. But I like mine better, It has a way to heat up and it also has a way to cool down. That's as simple as I see it. ha ha ha. HICCUP/ | | | |

| | nope, because the sea only warms the top 100 or so feet (like 30 meters) and after that - its 39º - like 2 or 3º C | | | | | | |

| | RawBill1 The Sea is about the same TEMP summer and winter. But the Brains say the Sea is getting warmer. If top surface is warm what about down deep and we don't know how deep is deep when it comes to the sea. We know more about outer space than we know about the sea. Gee we are so smart, I can see us growing food crops on a distant planet far far far away. Forget the Sea that would be to easy. And we all know if its to easy and simple it must be no good. Cheers mate for the 25Th, have a great day then (and now to). HICCUP/ | | | |

| | Very interesing idea. I don't know what impact the increased oceans temps has on the actual core since there is the mantle between them. I think we have alot left to learn about our beloved planet Earth. After all there are still many areas that have never been fully explored, incluing our vast vast ocean. I'll never forget the show that has the video of the ocean within the ocean where there was an incredibly dense section that appeared black on the ocean floor but it had it's own wave structure. That was amazing! And the volcanic ash will cool the Earth and that in turn will impact the foliage which will impact the oxygen levels and the Co2 levels will climb which heats the Earth even more etc. So much left to learn really! | | | | | | |

| | Tallygirl09 Maybe to cool the planet or oceans we need to send up a big smoke screen to blot the Sun for a few days then all would cool down, See how simple it is, I only seen that is what is happening with this Volcano. So if the Volcano can do so can we. ha ha ha HICCUP/ | | | |

| | If you have studied Geology or at least read something of it then you would know that our Earth is a living planet. The Earth`s core consists of boiling magma with temperature upto thousands of degrees. the earths continents are floating on this magma and whenever a rupture occurs this magma comes to the surface and is forced out at extremely high pressure and this we call as a volcanic eruption. Mother Nature does everything as is should but we human beings, the most intelligent species on earth are bent on destroying her by cutting and clearing huge swathes of pristine forests and disrupting plant and animal life. we clear land and build massive forests of building for our ever growing population and with it comes excessive discharge of greenhouse gases which causes all the problems which we are facing now.Yes our scientists are trying hard to control the forces of Nature in the best possible way but they are not focussing on the core issues that makes Mother Nature livid with her children and therefore we have to take the punishment that she delivers to us and face the consequences. | | | | | | |

| | veejay19 Mother Nature will do as Mother Nature wants and Man has no say in it nor will he ever be able to control her. To Mother Nature Man is no more important than the Sea, Trees, Fish or to that Volcano's. We don't have any control what so ever nor will we. HICCUP/ | | | |

| | That is quite imaginative. I think it is rather odd that we think we are so technologically advanced, but are so backward in our other thinking. It is like the so-called science of medicine where now people are so specialized that they don't really see the larger picture. We often throw out the baby with the bath water. | | | | | | |

| | That is a great comparison and I don't think that I would have ever thought of something like that myself. However, I think that you might be right on track. It only makes sense that when the sun is hot it is going to heat everything up and with the amount of water that is on this earth, then it will be able to go down and heat the core of the earth. Just like when we take a pot of water off the stove, the temperature will go down so will the volcanic ash block some of the sun's heat and allow the earth to cool down. Beautifully written. | | | | | | |

| | dorannmwin I don't think its the total reason the core is hot, but I do think it helps to keep it hot. Like putting the cooking pot on the back burner. My Idea is just as good as all them so said Smarties. ha ha ha. Mine makes more sense, ha ha ha. HICCUP/ | | | |
