| | I won't scrimp on my children's clothing. However, I won't buy expensive or branded clothing for them. There are nice and presentable clothing out there which does not cost much. Since they are young now, I want to inculcate in them the merits of thriftiness, and not to spend lavishly on clothing, or to put too much emphasis on their outer appearance. | | | | | | |

| | I have raised 4 children and the youngest one is now 16, We have never bought name brand fashion clothes for our children, They have always looked respectable and clean, but i never was drawn into that label or the current fashion, my kids all had their own unique style and usually it was comfy , they have grown up with the same attitude and they do not buy clothes because of the label or the cost, we always hit the clearance racks first, who cares if it was hot last yr.........When buying clothes for infants and toddlers garage sales and thrift stores are amazing, why spend $20 on a pair of pants that your kid will trash the first time they are outside and that mud puddle just calls their name. You can find so many great things at sales and in this economy we need to be thrifty about everything. i always look an item over, if it's not frayed or torn or covered in stains then it has alot of life left. | | | | | | |

| | I go as thrifty as I can for the majority of my children's clothing. My daughter does get new stuff for school, but most of her play clothes are from either yard sales or consignment sales. Then there is my three year old and all of his clothes are bought used unless it is Christmas or his birthday. I've never had a problem with doing it like this and their being young means that they outgrow their clothes rapidly. This, in my opinion, is the smartest way to be. | | | | | | |

| | No, I wouldn't dare to gamble buying thrifty products for my daughter. I always want to buy the best that I can afford for her. I don't mind buying cheap clothes, but they have to be good quality. I usually go hunting for my daughter's clothes at the malls where there are discounts. That way I can buy good quality products with a good deal. But, if i found a cute things that I really like but with no discount, I wouldn't mind paying extra money for it. | | | | | | |
