My poison ivy is spreading  

The poison ivy is on my face and I am washing it and applying benadryl that stops the itching..But I think overnight the oils is getting onto my pillow and I am spreading it..I can only hope changing the pillowcase daily will stop it completely..

And this stops the spreading? Because it doesn't itch because I am using benadryl, but it is spreading..

Yes. Use colloidal silver 3 times daily, together with aloe vera. To apply, use a cotton ball or cotton pad. Colloidal silver is a brownish-clear liquid, so the cotton will help with application. Just dab it on the affected area. After it dries, apply aloe vera (I know you're using something for the itch already, but aloe has healing properties for the skin).

I used colloidal silver on a really bad bacterial infection that my husband had. He scratched his skin on his stomach because it was itchy, and then he did some physical activity and sweat got into the raw patch that he had scratched. Of course that made it more itchy, so he kept scratching it. Needless to say, he had a fungal infection in no time. I applied colloidal silver to that patch of skin, morning and night, for 3 days. Well since pay day isn't for another week, I opted for sususuels(sp?) link they provided..You should check it out, so many different remedy's I never heard of before, but it makes sense..

Like put a band aid over it?

I have a personal friend who also doesn't get it, what is it you guys eat or do to keep from getting this???

Anyway, I did think of a bandage, but the quickest way to get rid of it is to keep it as dry as possible. I have not tried to get a tan for years because of my skin getting dried out, but I am thinking maybe a few times letting the sun bake the rash will speed up the healing..

I also am using benadryl, it has the best anti-itch formula that I ever used, so I do apply a fresh coat of that after I wash my face before going to bed. This dries on my face similar to what glue does, and moving around during the night can cause the benadryl to peel off some..

white shoe polish, that sounded interesting and then I got to straight bleach and sale and I cringed because I have a spot on my eyebrow, I don't know if I am that desperate..Then I saw hand cleaner, I'd stink but if it gets rid of it, then I am game..Just got to wait for my husband to come home, he keeps it in the car..

Thanks sulsusels, I may try some of these, because the the benadryl is great for the itching and if it wasn't on my face and spreading, I would be fine..And I will let you know what works, I bookmarked this site, perfect for the future..
