I just became a four-star scout in slicethepie! BUT...  |

|  I was in shock after seeing that after I review another track, I became a four-star scout at slicethepie after so many days of reviewing tracks there. Well I kind of find it really uplifting considering the many hardships I've gone through with slicethepie. I have experienced being constantly pulled down from being a three-star scout to being back to being a two-star simply by being honest.
Well I have to say that even though I like how I earn in slicethepie, the system in STP kind of sucks because you have to be careful of rating the songs honestly. Even though I want to rate the song 2 because it really sounded bad, I can't because that's not what almost everyone else would rate. Also, if I honestly think a song falls between the rating of 4 to 7, I just have to risk my accuracy in order for my star rating to not get harmed.
I think I earn the most and best in STP, but I find it really hard to be honest in that site. I'm forcing myself to be in accordance with their rules just so I could earn big there. Well, I have been giving quite a few honest ratings there, but some ratings are just done by force.
Anyone here have the same experience with slicethepie?

| |  I just joined Slicethepie and I'm excited about it. :D
I do believe you have to careful with the ratings. I have done 20 reviews so far with an accuracy of 85 % and I quickly noticed if you want to make money you can't be really honest. I guess we have to be able to go into the minds of the majority to make some money. I will try to rate the songs based on how well they would sell on a worldwide basis. I spoke with the admin and he says they will add genre specific scout rooms at some point, which should make it easier for us. I don't know about you, but there's a lot of music I find hard to rate, because I don't usually hear certain types of music like hard rock etc. I believe we have to see with eyes of a record company and do our ratings based on that. :D

| |  This is encouraging, although I'm still at one star, and can't seem to get it up to two. I consider myself a good judge of music, but my accuracy on the site has only been 80% at most.
I really am having trouble rating songs, I try to rate from 7-10 because I hear similar comments as yours- that you need to give good ratings. Still, I can't seem to get spot on with ratings.
