My acne affects my self confidence.  

Hey, I know it must be really annoying. I had the same issue a few years ago. I tried using neem mixed with turmeric as a face wash everyday and it worked like a charm. I haven't switched in 5 years and apart from a little moisturiser and this face wash, I don't use anything else on my face.

It's also important to drink a lot of water and keep your body cool. Drink at least about 2 litres of water a day. Also have more foods like yoghurt. These cool your body and prevents breakouts on your face. Also try and avoid oily food, sugar and chocolate. I'm not saying don't have them at all, but cut down to about every alternate day rather than every day.

This is my routine. Hope it helps you out.

I've had that problem a few years back. I did a few changes to my face care routine that I think might have helped with acne.

Don't wash you face with products every morning and night, in other words, dont overwash your face. Over cleansing you face removes the natural oil on your face thus getting rid of the protecting against dirt and bacteria. For me, I only wash my face three times a week with Shiseido Pureness cleanser. Rest of the time I only wash my face with water. You don't have to do this, you can wash with products one everyday but just make sure it's not hard on your skin.

In the morning, after you washed you face, splash cold water on your face to close the pores. Also before you eat ANYTHING, have a cup of water at room temperature mixed with honey. Honey will really hope with your skin.

Use face masks! they've improved my skin so much!

This is product i was suggested by my doctor for pimples, and very good and also helps to remove marks on the skin. It works by increasing skin cell turnover promoting the extrusion of the plugged material in the follicle.
Here are some guidelines that may make it easier to take this great medicine.

Apply Retin-A in a thin layer at night. A small amount goes a long way.
In the morning wash your face with a mild facial scrub or rough wash cloth. This will help reduce the noticeable flaking.
After washing, apply a good water-based moisturizer. Yes, guys, this applies to you too. The moisturizer will make the drying effect of the medicine more tolerable.
If flaking occurs during the day use a wash cloth to remove it and apply more moisturizer, or just apply moisturizer.
Try using a moisturizer that also contains a sunscreen. If not, apply sunscreen anytime you are in the sun even for a short amount of time. Tretinoin makes you more susceptible to sunburn.
When you first start using Retin-A, apply it every other night or every 3rd night. The flaking and irritation side effects are usually the worst in the first 2 weeks of application. As your skin adjusts to the medicine, you can apply it more frequently.
If you notice an increase in the irritation or flaking, it's ok to take a break for a couple of days. Just don't stop completely without consulting your health care provider!

Hi, i suffer from psoriasis and that makes me feel like everyone is looking at me all the time.I am under a deratoligist and they are getting my skin sorted out as they have given me a better treatment to get on with that worked the last time i had a flare up.If i was you i would ask to be referred to a derm clinic as they also helped my friends son to get rid of his acne as they know they can get you stronger things to use on your skin.

i don know any perfect treatment for acne. but watever treatment you take just also take care of your food intakes. acne probs are mainly due to hormonal imbalance... that depends upon ur age to get cured of it... always drink lots of water that will help in reducing the problem.

I know. I am in that situation too. I have tried everything too but it seems like these ugly red heads just keep on popping out. It is hard to fight genetics. Our family members are all acne-prone, so there is no escaping it. I try to minimize its ugliness by covering it up with foundation when I go out. I try to take vitamin C and plenty of water and I like to think it's working.

so sorry to hear that. too much acne will really affects your self-esteem. if buying over the counter products for treatment has no more result try to consult dermatologist to give you cure on your acne problem. it can be treated carefully, go to the professionals. good luck and have a nice day!

Majorly all acnes are the result of wrong eating habits such as irregular timings,oily food consumption,improper food intake,excess starchy foods,sugar and fatty foods.

Major reason for acne is CHRONIC CONSTIPATION if bowels do not move properly waste material remains in bowels for long duration the toxic material mixes with boold stream ,the extra effort put by skin to eliminate the toxic waste causes acne.

few home remedies-

Aloevera taken inside(consumed)is very good.You can also consume the juices that are widely available made of aloevera

sandalwood paste(very pure variety-if you are in India you might know the preparation of the paste using wood and marble stone) mixed with rose water applied on face until it dries

cucumber paste and tomato paste both fresh can be mixed and applied.this is for prevention of acne

peel garlic and rub on affected area though this has a little odour its antiseptic properties make it a wonderful cure.I would suggest once you do this you can apply sandalwood and rose water mix and wash off

soak cumin in very little water in the night make a paste in the morning and apply for one hour and rinse off.

neem is a very good cure.If you get green leaves of neem make a paste of it and apply it else even if you can get dry ready powder mix with water and apply.This is also a very good remedy

try applying lavender oil directly to the affected area

apply vinegar directly or mix with any of the pastes and apply(cumin/neem/cucumber etc)

ground orange peel applied to affected also leaves a good effect

use walnut scrub

you can make paste of avacado and apply until it dries out

rosemary massage will help during facial

do apply egg whites this is supposedly very good treatment for acne if you bare the smell keep it for half an hour

Try Kaya skin care treatments they have pretty good pastes

if you can get rasberry strawberry and blackberry leaves make a paste and apply

mix turmeric freshly ground mixed with water and wait until it dries then scrub it off it'll dry the acne keep on continuing treatment until the scar leaves

There can be 1000's of such remedies and very easy to come up with but basically proper supplementation of vitamins and minerals to body is essential.

If there is colon hydro therapy available try going to it after considering the side effects if any.
