Uniform and no Uniform |
| |
| To those who studied on the schools with no uniforms, How do yuo feel whenever you see the kids in uniforms while who were just in shirt and jeans and you have to wear different outfits everyday? To those who studied in schools with uniforms, how do you feel when you see those kids who goes to school without uniforms? Basically all schools in my country but when I was a teen I hate my school's uniform because the pants was dark green and the Polo shirt was freaking white. Its kinda bland and lame. | | | | | |

| | I would have loved to have a uniform in school. I went to very snobby schools, and the kids would always make comments about how poor I was, and how expensive their clothes were. If there was a uniform we would all be wearing the same thing, and no one could make those comments. But of course the parents blocked it from happening, because they don't want their special brats wearing the same stuff that the lower class poor people are wearing. | | | | | | |

| | That might be the advantage of having uniforms, kids from uniformed schools though still have a way to show how rich they were with their accessories and expensive gadgets. I wish I was able to study in Japan though because their uniform is kinda badass. | | | |

| | We have uniforms when I was in grade school and high school. At that time I thought that every school wears uniform so I don't feel anything special. When I went to college there are no more uniforms. That's when I feel somewhat pity to those with uniforms. Pity because they cannot wear what they want. They are already in college so they should have the liberty to wear what they are comfortable with. Just like what our university promotes there should always be academic freedom. | | | | | | |

| | uniform is the better choice for me, no matter that in the schools I have studied, there were and still aren't no uniforms. And here is my explanation- being with a uniforms will make all the students equal at school, because as we know there are many kids having rich parents and wearing expensive clothes and always like to show them to the poorer ones, who can't afford it and laugh on them, so that's why wearing a uniform will throw away this trend and make all the kids in school equal. it will also make the schools different and students unique so that people can know from which school the students are when they see them. here in the town where I live now, there are two school which have the uniform as obligatory for all the students and the ones who come to school with some other clothes are just not allowed to acess the school and I think that's the way it should be, because rules are for everyone and not only for those, who many people think are dumb to observe all the rules, because rules are made for some easier and happier life so that there will be no chaos in our life. Maybe only the girl's uniforms should me more longer, I mean the skirts, so that boys can't speculate with it and make some funny or even sexual jokes with their girl-schoolmates! | | | | | | |

| | Our uniforms were definitely UGLY. But we were never really jealous of the kids that didn't have uniforms b/c that just meant they had to find a new outfit to wear every day! If we wanted to show our own style or try to impress, we would just wear different tights or socks and do things with our hair :) Or wear jewelry. But it seemed like kids in public schools were worried about trying to keep up with the latest trends, which can be hard if your parents can't afford to buy you all those clothes. When you are in uniforms, everyone is on the same level. They were ugly, but at least everyone was wearing the same ugly thing :) | | | | | | |

| | That is the biggest advantage of having a uniform but I wish schools will make their uniforms looks attractive and cool. Imagine the hell I had been thru wearing a white polo with silky fabric and a moss green pants partnered with black leather shoes. I hated it. | | | |

| | When I was in Elementary its more shameful because we were wearing yellow green shorts from kindergarten to 6th Grade. Its so embarrassing during 6th grade because I grew up kinda early, I look like a teenager because I was tall and I was freaking wearing that green shorts.I was so upset that in other schools, boys were wearing pants. | | | |

| | I think uniforms are good and that way there is no competition between dress code, theres no loopholes in what can and can't be worn. Especially because public schools seriously seems to be lacking in enforcing dress code for nonuniform schools. Even without uniforms there needs to be a specified dress code and schools just aren't enforcing it. I live in California and I have personally watched schools get worse and worse. When I was in highschool there were actually rules they enforced. But now in junoir highs especially there really is no code enforcement! Girls where tight, short shorts, speghetti strap shirts that are low cut. These girls are 12! they should not be able to strut around and look like a young hooker. Seriously. And the guys and their baggy pants that hang off thier @ss. I feel that the best way to avoid any of this is a uniform. Unless the school can actually handle enforcing the dress code. | | | | | | |

| | Those parents letting their daughters dress up like that in school was kinda disturbing because they were turning their daughters into predator target victims and prospect. Anyway in my school then, Uniforms cant promote equality because there were students who wears jewelry and gadgets just to shove to the faces of their classmates that they were freaking rich. | | | |

| | I never had to wear a uniform in school when I was growing up. I look at kids know who do have to wear one, and kinda feel sorry for them. There isn't must customization available when you have a strict dress code. They don't do that much to add come individuality to their wardrobe... ...Other than sagging...Which just looks outright silly to me. | | | | | | |

| | hi albert, are you from la salle? hehe well anyway, on my part when i was in highschool of course we have our checkered uniform and its fine since most of the schools around do have their own uniform. and we are proud wearing our uniform since in our town the school have good reputation. but when i was already in college, i remember that its always an issue whether to have uniform or not. students even vote on it. but we still ended up having our uniform. sometimes we envy those who don't have uniform like UP. we think that its better and more cool! haha and so we are always excited when we have our 'wash day' coz that's the only time we are allowed not to be in uniform. but i think having a uniform is better specially for those who came from not rich family. its more economical. i think its just kinda normal that we tend to wish for what we don't have. | | | | | | |

| | Hahahaha. I had always worn uniform in school from elementary to college. I have always envied those college students who doesn't have to wear uniforms, but in the end, I guess it's really not that great, cause everyday, you have the task of choosing what to wear, and if am in that position, then I'll probably be late every single day. LOL. Also, my school uniform in college was white, white skirt and white blouse, and the funny thing is that I did not take up any science course, and people would always be mistaken and would assume that i'm taking up nursing or something. Hehe. | | | | | | |
