Magic within the shelves  

i love history and that is pretty much all i read. books allow me to experience historial events that i wouldnt be able to other wise.

palegemini I too collected books and sadly now most of mine are in storage waiting for my son to get a job and accumulate enough money soe wecan again share an apartment and get me out of this retirement center and back into normal living. I love to read. I like mysteries and detective stories and romantic mysterys, I also love A conan Doyle, and Louisa Mae Alcott and Lillian Braun, the Cat who series and Sue Grafton and her series , Agatha Christie, and Baum , the Wizard of Oz and all the others Alice in Wonderland and Beyond The Looking Glass.There ar a lot of others oh yes also Stephen King, oh yes definitely him. Just a devout reader of all sorts of things.[

We have tons and tons and tons of books over here! Actually they are mostly my daughter's . . . she LOVES books and I am a sucker for them at used book stores so I will buy them up! Not to mention the fact that I collect children's books anyway, so I have tons more at my parent's house as there is no way I can store them here. The books that are non-children that I have here are mostly about parenting, figure skating, or about keeping up health. They don't take up room . . . the zillion trillion books my daughter has DOES take up space - hee hee!!

Yes, I keep my own collection of books. I'm running out of space to put them all. I had to get rid of some awhile back. :( I really like big hardcover books because they're very durable and I like reading hardbacks more than paperbacks. My favorite books are high fantasy stories. High fantasy is the genre of fantasy where a story takes place completely in its own made-up world. Most of the books in my collection are these books, but I do have quite a few others.
