| Convert my broken Canon IXUS into a webcam  | | | |  I broke my camera few months back, because the pin for the memory was twisted. The repair cost was equivalent to buying the same camera in brand new shape and I know people here couldnt fix it.
So is there a way I could recycle my camera, the components and everything still works but it cant take photos anymore.
I am really into recycling.

| |  That's a great idea. as i know, video's quality of canon ixus camera's better than other brands like sony's so you must be lucky to still can use a camcorder function of your camera though you can't taking a picture anymore . Keep that way and Have a nice day

| |  well consider it as a memory my dear friend. memory on cherish the camera forever. We've got also a camera whose flash was broke due to over usage. Then what we have done was since we have offered double cam on video cam the usage of our sony camera now, i mean the purpose is no longer for photography it's for videography purpose already.

I dont feel any regrets because it was well used, and the lcd is also a bit screwed because a friend had constantly dropped it from her butter fingers.
Anyways I have cybershot now from aunt, and I ll buy myself a new one once I earn enough money to afford one. :) ..
