What are the best practices to maintain our Laptops life?  |

|  I have noticed many people always using laptop and carrying anywhere they go..Sometimes they only close the laptop without turning it off and keep it on stand by position..My friend said it will be dangerous for our laptop's hardisk since its very fragile when carrying in stand by position..Other think is many people tend too lazy to clean the laptops from dust which stick on keyboard or screen..If we keep our laptop clean it will be more durable and have longer age even every brand also have different reliability and durability.. What do you think? do you have other best practices to keep our Laptop in good condition and maybe also extend their life?

| |  well i know laptops mainly run off rechargeable lithium batteries. keeping a laptop plugged in and leaving it at or around full charge too much overheats the battery and lessens the battery life. allowing it to be undercharge can do the same thing. also lithium batteries are pretty expensive to replace. the best way to prolong the laptops lithium battery life is to keep it in the 40% to 80% charge range. this way the heat level remains steady and consistent and doesn't overheat.

| |  ya working is going special now a days and so we are doing the best thing we can do and we have to be so careful in what we do and there are more people who going that way and so in the trend we need something like that or people will not see us a one ..and we have to do something different and do the best..have fun..

I agree with you, laptop batteries will be one of the weakness and can be very harmful to our laptop..Meaning we should maintain our battery life by charging it fully before we are going to other places..Or meaning we should looking at the places with the electrical outlet rather even sometimes the cable will disturb us and reduce our comfortable while working on it..I usually charge the battere fully prior going to the mall or other wifi hotspot places..

| |  Or may be if you don't have much time or you are forgot to recharge it before you go somewhere, You can try to turn on your computer without battery. I think it will make your battery more durable.

Laptop is created to make human life easier and allowed us to travel around without miss any works dead line and also to stay us connected through out wireless internet connection every where..We should live with what we have now and maybe there will be new invention that allowed us to work and carry on our portable computer and maybe every thing will be smaller and smarter than nowadays...who knows what happened in the future...

| | Hi donyun, appreciate your response.. You have good point, meaning we should always taking care our laptop's battere life rather than abuse it.. I knew the most interesting way to use our laptop is while sitting..I noticed this way we would be not comfortable of having cable around..So meaning we should always fully charge our laptop's battere prior travel outside the house..I believe this habit will have good impact to our laptop's life as well..

| |  ALl i know is that, battery of the laptop is important.. IT's the battery life which keeps the laptop running in tiptop condition.. BEcause most of the time, plugs or sockets are not around when we need to use the laptop, and as such, we depend alot on the batteries..
However, when one get used to charging the battery as they use the laptop, that will in turn drain the battery life, and even causes the laptop to overheat too!!
CLeaning is important, but not so much of help to the laptop, but it definitely looks pleasing to the eye when it's clean.. hehe

Better don't charge your laptop while you are using it because if can make your battery easy to drop. Don't touch the screen of your laptop. I think that's all that i know.
