What's the reason to sing recycle song?  

Musicians have their reason in reviving or recycling classic music.You have a point that they recycle because it can be easily recognized hence the chance of commercial success is much higher than making a new one. I think a possible reason is they do revive or recycle old songs because such songs has a sentimental value in their life. Their are certain song that we can easily relate and hence becomes part of ourselves. And so this musician wants to express such song in their own way.

Musicians sang recycling there may be several reasons, the desire is one of them popular. Wanted his singles hits quickly accepted by society because of the familiar songs sung in the ears of the community. Musicians also have a reason because it's a fan or a form of respect for these musicians.

maybe they just lack of new songs to sing. hehe just kidding!

well even here in our place, recycling of songs even movies are really popular nowadays. i think some just want to relive those songs or maybe those were their favorite ones that they want to sing it themselves and do their own rendition.
somehow its good to keep those old songs alive and giving it a new sound that can be liked by new generations. anyway i think it will still be better if these musicians were able to make a new song instead of recycling the old songs.

the song was originally sung by George Benson way back 1977. (Benson's other hit song is Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You).

The Greatest Love of All was revived by whitney houston in 1986 and become even more popular. now, she is associated with that song even if she was not the original singer.

the benefit of this is more people heard the message of the song and are inspired by it. songs that have positive messages are worth reviving.

there are many reasons why some singers do reviving the old songs especially if it is a hit song from before. some singers do it because its their favorite and they want their own version of it, sometimes the old song has the sentimental value and the singer wants to make it a hit for the new generations. reviving the old songs not always a hit, it depends upon the listener if they like the singer and the way the singer sung it. they also take risk because singing an old hit song, making own version of it is not that easy. have a nice day!

What i think of that was maybe they wanted the song to be popular again,some are really their favorite one so they sang it more gracefully and sincerely..as you have noticed that most of the revived songs was really stand their hit and became more known to the other generation that didn't know it..they just pass it from generation by generation.

For me so that the old song be remembered.

I think the way they use quite cleverly too, just by trying to sing the old songs or rycycle that old song. that way, they can easly identify even including new artist.

There are few artist who make good version or rendition of a popular song. I do like it sometimes especially if they put some new flavor or twist with the song. Sometimes, I do hate some artist who make some revivals and doesn't give any justice with the song. I mean, there are songs that are meant to be untouched and you can simply can't beat original songs. On the other hand, there are great artist you make a certain song fresh and new to listeners which I like. Maybe the reason behind it is they want people to catch the song easily and that people can relate to it.

I think for the new artist's it's a way into the "door" of fame and fortune, as for the older aritst's it's a way to pay tribute to a favorite band or singer or inspriation to their career and / or music.
