| John Salmons might leave Milwaukee. I'd break down the options | | | | After being traded from Chicago to Milwaukee during the midseason, John Salmons was an integral part on the Bucks playoffs success. After Andrew Bogut was sidelined with an injury and wasn't able to suit up for the playoffs, the Bucks were left for dead and was thought to be an easy first round opponent for the Atlanta Hawks. But much to everybody's surprise, the Bucks stretched the series to 7 games and even threatened to take the series after taking a 3-2 series lead. Despite the massive success of the Bucks and the return of Bogut for next season, Salmons might decide to leave the Bucks. For Salmons, opting out of his contract is a "good option" for him. Salmons has a player option after the 2009-2010 season and that means he could decide to stay for another year or opt out of his contract. What does "good option" mean for Salmons? Two things, he could either ask for a higher price for any team that badly needs his services or he could opt to play for a championship contending team and win a title. I'd like to break it down. [1] The free agency pool for the 2010 offseason is so stacked. There are names such as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Bosh, and Carlos Boozer. Though a lot of teams will go after the services of these players, unfortunately, not all will have them. Salmons is a 20-point capable player and is one of the underrated players in the NBA. He is capable of leading teams to victories just like what he did to Milwaukee (along with Brandon Jennings). Knowing his stack, Salmons could ask for a better price than the $5.46M that he's receiving with Milwaukee these season. Pretty sure there will be a lot of teams that will go after him next season. [2] Championship contending teams for sure would love to have John Salmons. San Antonio is one team that I think is a perfect fit for him. Should Salmons decide to receive the same amount for next season or maybe a little less, San Antonio is a great place for him. San Antonio's game perfectly fits Salmons' no nonsense and all substance game. With the Spurs' big 3 and Richard Jefferson and George Hill, Salmons will add more scoring options for the Spurs. The Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers (if they keep LeBron) are also good destinations for Salmons. We still don't know what will happen during the offseason but pretty sure some teams will become instant powerhouses. Salmons could join such teams. A wise move for Salmons if he thinks about winning a championship is to play where LeBron James will be playing at the start of the 2010-11 season. James is bound to win a title soon enough. Testing the free agency doesn't put Salmons in the losing end (as well as deciding to stay with Milwaukee). He's a great player and could really deliver very well. At 30 years of age, Salmons still has a lot of basketball years ahead of him. That's a lot of time still to make a lot of money or to win championships. With his skill level, it's just all up to him. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | Every now and then, when Salmons is in a new team, he is impressive but over the years after that first year stint with his new team, the way he play deteriorates. However, Salmons is a good player with offensive and defensive prowess into his game. He was not really an offensive minded player way back but he learned instant offense a lot in every game that he plays. He has now the tool of being a great player. He does not deserve to be paid like 5.46 M. He is deserving to go at most at 8 M. John Salmons could end up being traded and I think that he is best fitted to go alongside Dwyane Wade. Wherever Wade goes. Salmons should be there. | | | | | | | | | | Rubber Basketballs Rubber & Composite basketballs for inddor & outdoor use. Shop & SAVE. www.peadvantage.net | add comment | | | |

| | Salmons is one of those underrated players in the nba. He is definitely a spark on any championship caliber team. He could get a good pay like what James Posey got with the Hornets. He has nothing to lose if he opts out of his contract with the Bucks. | | | | | | | | | | Youth Basketball Plays? 21 Killer Youth Basketball Plays. Step by Step.
