Kissing Cousins  

I heard a lot of stories like this before, cousins felt inloved with each other and even become reality as husband and wife.Its just normal actually to feel that way, just a crush its not any big deal for that....

Well, my brother lives with one of our cousins...of course, it's like 6 generations removed or some such thing, so who cares?

I think this thing about having crushes on cousins is more common than people care to admit Gemini.

I did have a crush on one cousin as he was a drummer so that was awesome and he was stunningly handsome another plus.

I was just a 10 yr old and he was around 14 or 15 so I was like wow!

And the thing of it is , I had never been around him much, so when I did get to meet him more, we were at that age you know?

I just wanted to say to you that I really think it is common.
But acting on it is another matter, not for me to do..against my own morals anyway.

Sure, I've heard of this happening a lot. But me, personally - no way! I grew up with all my cousins (the ones that live in this country anyway). They were pretty local and I saw them enough time throughout the year that I pretty much knew these guys inside out. Nahhhhhhh - they were definitely not my type - ha ha. One of my cousins - a very nerdy, sheepish kind of guy whom we thought we never ever get married - found a VERY beautiful and sweet wife - no one could believe it. My sister and I were discussing this and we failed to see what the attraction was (in fact, we were so mean, we were literally yucking out about it!). Definitely not our business - but still - there's no way we would feel anything for our cousins, even with a ten foot pole!!

genetics is the last thing on their minds, I have had several relatives back a few years that married first cousins and again they had intelligent children so I just do not know , maybe they were just lucky or maybe its not all that bad after all. My feelings on the matter are we probably should not intermarry too much as that's really tempting fate and also new blood would help in some families where there are inherited diseases. I think that back in the time of my great grandparents and great great grandparents they pretty much had only so many families to choose from so relatives often did marry.

i always look at my cousins as my brothers, so i do not have that kind of attraction to them as what you have right now for your female cousins. i believe that is not right, maybe you are just missing a sister. fight that feelings of yours, and do not think too much about them. remember you are family, and the love should be limited to family only. good luck and have a nice day!

My cousin wanted to marry me. I just couldn't feel much than he's my brother. But he loved me. So cheer up, it happens a lot. :)

That is why inc*st happens because some cousins or relatives are not that close and when they meet they do not have that feelings of familiarity which often leads to having some feelings of admiration or crush on them. Others would take this feeling to a higher level and this is when it starts to be wrong. You were right about keeping that feeling secret because you are not supposed to marry your own relative.

I never had any feelings about my male cousins, but then they were all younger than me and lived pretty far away. But I think it's pretty natural to feel that way.

I had a sort of crush on one of my cousins. He was younger than me and one afternoon when our families were visiting our favourite aunt, Greg and I took off on one of the longer walks. We were so young, I was 10 or 11 I guess so he was prolly 8 or 9 but we talked about what was special to us about that particular walk. We cut through some scrub and made our way down to a secluded beach and we talked talked and we laughed. He was easy to talk to and be with and being with him made me feel good.

Next time I saw him it was one of his brief visits back home. He was travelling the world, backpacking mostly and teaching kids about music. He would learn in one country and take what he'd learned to another country. He had quite a repertoire by the time he came home. He was a gentle man with a soft voice and a smile always on his face.

Sorry, got a bit carried away there...some lovely memories came back to me. I think it's normal to have these sort of feelings awoken in you by family. What are these cousins of yours like now, as grown ups?
