Do you still need a printer at home nowadays?  

Yes, I still do have a printer and it's important for me to have one. We have a small farm and there's no proper communication there, yet internet connection as well. Therefore, any paper work that needs to be done should be done through paper and thus the need for printing out forms etc.

I do have printer,scanner, copier three in one, which i feel really very very important. yes i agree we can send any document by email, but by 3-1 really best and i almost require every day, like when i require to submit xerox copy- so i do it from the printer.Even important document we can scan and save and use for future use..
it prints, scans, and copies—and does all three well. Most notably, it combines good-quality print output with good speed..
But i was also looking for fax option, if i found any printer with fax option, i will go for that..

Hi, dwightsunee. I have a Dell printer at home now. It just needs some ink cartikidges. I don't use it that much. But I do need to use it. Sometimes, I want to print out something off of the Internet, especially coupons. And I miss on a lot of things. But, hopefully, I can get my printer up and running so that I can use it again. I don't know how to connect a printer to a laptop anyway. I will have to find this out when I hook it together.

I haven't bought a new printer since the old one broke, and I don't really need a new one. I do fine without because I don't print photos or documents anymore. They are stashed nicely on my PC and if I have to bring it somewhere I use an USB stick to transfer it. I don't think the printer is outdated yet since there are many who still use one.

I do. I do a lot of copying and such. I use mine too for copying off info for the articles I write.

Yes, I am still one of those old fashioned people. lol. Because sometimes I need to print out important documents so I use my printer to do that. Although it is getting harder to find the right brand cartridge for the ink because my printer is pretty old and getting out of date.

It depends like you and I do. I don't use printer now a days because i could go to computer shops to ask them to print a 1 or 2 page file. Sometimes i print it here in the office, if needed only. Like you do go to the mall to ask for printing photos.

Some people really need it specially when they do documents.

since our place is just small (i live in a condo) i opted not to have any printers. so far i am getting by without it. if ever i need to print something i just go over to my parents house (very near) or just have them printed in a printing shop just around the corner.

plus, i am not into printing documents for reading - you know, trying to save paper and all. i'm ok reading them using my laptop.

I still believe that I need a printer in our home because there are things that I want to be printed like projects, written communications, photos, and other important things. I think it is more expensive to print it outside like in the mall. Therefore, I have one printer at home which is useful for me and my kids when they need to print something for their school projects and assignments. Happy day ahead.

Actually printer is not needed at home for me. I am a student so i need to print over 300-400 pages during the time of submission of my assignment. But i can easily print out at my college in a cheap cost. So why to waste money in buying printer at home?
