So, I finally sent a letter to my "alleged" best friend  | | | |  Hello fellow mylotters and a very good morning to you all!! As most of you now know, I have terminated my friendship with a woman that I thought for over 13 years was my best friend. But, in recent months and weeks, I have been thinking that she really was never a true friend at all!!
So, I just decided to let you all know that, as I was cleaning the other day...I am ALWAYS cleaning something!!! I came across some photos that she had given to me of a dog that she was babysitting some time ago. Regardless, these were NOT my photos and I didn't want to keep them. So, I quickly typed up a little note to her.
The note was a simply one liner, so to speak! It said simply, "since we are no longer speaking, I thought you would want your photos back"!! Nothing more, nothing less!!
If I sounded rude, well, frankly, I won't apologize for that. It is a true statement. I have moved on from this friendship. After all, she could never be bothered to visit me at my home...or anything else for that matter. But, as long as it was on HER TERMS, AND HER TIME, then she was available for me!!
I have since learned, that this is not a true friend at all. This was more the actions of a person using you to get or attain what they want!!! For example, a ride to the doctor because they are down to one vehicle and hubby needed it for work.
So, I just decided that I would update you on this!! The letter and pictures will be put into the mail today!!!

| |  Good morning, it is very disappointing to find out that someone u thought a friend is not. That has happened to me many times in my lifetime. I don't mind doing anything for my friends but when u realize u are just being used it's time to walk away. I hope u find a real good new friend soon. Have a great weekend.

| | Hi Antiquelady! Thank you so much for your kind words about this. It has been a long and painful process. But, I am slowly making it back.
I have made some new friends already. It has just been hard starting to realize that we were never really friends to begin with!! And, after 13 years, that is a long time for me. I put alot of effort, time and patience, not to mention love into this friendship. Only to discover that we were never really "best friends" at all!
But, frankly, I am rather glad this is over! Now I am able to move on without guilt or regrets. I chose to send this letter because she has been sooooo good in the past about putting me on such a huge guilt trip!! But, then again, I also allowed this to affect me this way. But, no more of that!!!
Thank you!!! Have a wonderful Mother's Day if I don't "talk" to you before then.
