Do You have Blind Faith????  

Yes,would we really want a life with no problems or challenges to overcome?? Sounds boring without them. Yes, those pesky problems do make us stronger and wiser.Thanks for your comments!!

I can not see air but I have direct evidence that it is there. I can't see God but I have direct evidence as well. Blind faith is when one believes so hard in something that the facts are no longer important. As far as faith goes, I will never ever feed it. It can never be a substitue for the facts. Lots of good comments. Thanks. Seems like more and more people are ruling their lives with faith as long as it feels good to them. Thinking will always be necessary to discovery. That is if you really search for the truth. For those with blind faith, they depend on the rest of us to shine light in those eyes.

No doubt God will make use of one's choice of blind faith. Even if it is no more than to send lessons about choices. Faith is a belief.It is not God directed. It is God's will only in the fact that beliefs are needed when all the facts are not known. One should never be satified with beliefs and faith.One must always go for the facts and truth. I do question those who say that is not possible. God wants us to know rather than merely have faith that something is true. Man, on the other hand wants you to believe and follow to the ends of the Earth. Are people following man or do they really search for God??? Thanks for all your comments!!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean... I can only guess that we have a very different understanding. Plus, I know I struggle in expressing myself. Let me elaborate on what I mean when I say that I understand faith to be God-directed.

Well, fundamentally I can only speak from my own experience in saying that faith, or let me say true faith, is God-directed. In the bible there is a scripture that I might adapt to illustrate my feelings and experience.

Hebrews 11:13 says, speaking of... some faithful people mentioned prior in Hebrews 11... "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them and embraced them..." So what is this promise? There are promises in scripture. Promptings have come to me personally that have whispered to me through the Holy Spirit what I should do or say... so to adapt the scripture to my own experience: I act in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and I am persuaded of them and embrace them.

In my opinion, we may believe whatever we want, but it becomes true faith when God confirms or 'assures' us that that belief is true, or from God.

We must be aware of promises in order to be assured of them, when promises, or promptings come to me, they teach me what to have faith in. In my experience, true faith is directed by God.

So I guess I'm saying that faith is both fact and truth - it is just experienced through different senses than those scientifically measurable. In other words, I believe that just because science may not be able to test it doesn't make it false, or any less factual.

Those are my feelings on the subject. :)

If the answer comes from God, you can consider it a fact. One must be sure it comes from God and not just holy books written by man. If and when you truly find God, you won't have any doubts nor will man's holy books mean so much.Faith and believing will no longer be needed when you know. Hmmm??? Perhaps you are more religious than those who claim to be religious. Your blind faith is different. Seems to be merely a trust that God will take care of things in the long run. Deep down, we all know God so I can understand your faith. I'm not so sure it can be defined as totally blind. Thanks for all your comments!!

well, I’d like to think of myself more as spiritual than religious. Religion tends to restrict God to different traits and attributes…religion has lots of dos and donts which instill fear of God in the mind whereas just the opposite should be true. Also, religion divides God and society…God is omnipresent and can be accessed by anybody anywhere…we just have to look in all sincerity to our inner soul.
By blind I meant that despite having no religious agenda in my daily routine, I never really doubt the existence of God or have never questioned my faith in Him.

Yes, religion tries to restrict God.They try to put God in a box, a nice little package for everyone to memorize. Of course God is much bigger than that. There is also so much more for everyone to learn.Thanks for your comments!!

Since we are all made in God's image, God can be seen in all people. God's actions can be seen everywhere but God is actually Someone. I guess what I'm driving at is do you go for believes and religions created by man OR do you choose to seek out God to discover the truth for yourself. Can one ever be satified with just beliefs and faith?? I know many are but what ever happened to the need to really know??? Thanks for all your comments!!

Scientific reason and logic. Very good. It's a very good foundation. Science is limited to the physical laws of this universe. God, being spiritual, leaves the door open for a lot more possibilities. Since so much is harder to prove or pinpoint, that does leave the door open for faith and beliefs to patch the even larger gap from the facts. If you were a spiritual being and I made contact with you, I would have my proof through our contact but would be hard pressed to supply hard physical evidence. However, I can point the way where you or others might take a path to discover the proof for yourself. Thanks for stopping by with lots of good comments!!

blind faith is embarassing.It has no place in modern world.

As Christians being forced to have to rely on blind faith is one of our biggest problems. Building a house and building a good working personal relationship with God and Jesus is two different things.You can make a mistake in building a house and you can probably cover it up but it doesn't work that way if we make a mistake with God. We can go to man and seek his information on some of the things that pertain to this world but doing this in matters that pertain to God is not wise.

We can just look around us and we should be able to see with our own eves that something just isn't right. That "something" is our Christian Teaching System. Man has abuse it to a point the entire system is little more than useless. Man simply doesn't have God's real truth to give us. Therefore we have very few true facts concerning God to base a true faith on.

Arkie, interesting.I guess the only real answer is to search out God and discover the real truth then one won't need faith or beliefs. One will know. Learn2learn, God does want us to be able to reason and think not just believe and feel. Does your religion really add up??God is very very smart.Does your religion's actions of their God really sound smart with wisdom???? Isn't following blindly out of fear as bad as jogging through that intersection blind??? Is this really God???? Man has his hand deep into religion. Better take a closer look. Finally Aquarius, Blind faith really has no place anywhere. It is a lesson many must learn. Since it is each of our duty to help each other, we must point blind faith out to those with it, regardless of the drama. After all, no one should walk around with that. Bird, religion is nothing when we talk about faith in God.

I have to agree on several points you make.1. man's corruption of all religions.2. God's intellect is very very high. The reason God doesn't speak to more people is simply they would just be confused. One should strive to learn and grow. One can see God's actions all around. The more you see; the more you will come to understand the genius behind it all. This world is truly a Masterpiece. Now as far as anointed goes, this is where we part. I can never understand why people make God into three Beings.I have found God to be only one though God does have many many children.Many need pointing in the right direction. I don't believe in the three in one crap either. God and Jesus are two different beings. Jesus is exactly what He said He was. He is the Son of God. The Anointing of the Holy Spirit is something else entirely different. The Anointing is a Christian teaching system that removed man from between God and man. It is just a communication system directly between man and God. Jesus gave His life to make the Anointing possible. Parents are supposed to be teaching their children in their homes the real truth concerning the Anointing. The parents are also supposed to be teaching by example and displaying the power of God before their children. The idea was for the parents to be anointed and then teach their children to a point where God could anoint them before they left the home. We have gotten completely away from the teaching system God and Jesus set up.

If anointing is no more than removing man from between God and man, I'm for it. On the other hand, a person can find God without religion and Jesus. We are all God's children. There are no special rules that could keep God and His children apart. God will send lessons for everyone to learn and grow. Kids can become wayward but that changes nothing. We all discover and learn in time.
