Are computers fast enough to be intelligent?  

computers just act according to the program written by us... if we employ sensors and write a program they act to be intelligent. blue eyes technology is one among that.you can also synchronize electronic chip with our brain by implanting chips on our nerves and control things by our thoughts.Computers just act what we say... if we write a program to kill any person who tried to stole it. it will do.

Computers are just as intelligent as how we human program them. So there are no intelligent computers. There are just great computer programmers and engineers. :D

Personally, i don't think that computers will have the full capability of being intelligent. However, as time passes computers are indeed becoming more powerful and are able to carry out more processes. Therefore everyday, as computers grow, they are able to carry out more actions that humans would do. Therefore, making them 'more intelligent'. There are super computers which are almost able to carry out all actions. But remember, computers cannot literally think.

Whats intelligent??????????? If the programmers program in such a way that they can respond to anything it will be intelligent. (As we see in case of many robots and surgical machines)

well, i think they are really good in solving problems and
some works, but human is much more inteligent than computers are!
