Does anybody know how Duckworth Lewis is calculated, I only know one thing in this method if it's ODI minimum of 25 overs should be played by both teams and it i's t20 both the teams should bat minimum of 5 overs ...

Duckworth Lewis is a very complex manner of figuring out the targets in rain affected matches. Most cricketers agree that this is too complex a system for players to contend with. What is worse is it's application to T20. Already the match is down to 20 overs and then you keep a minimum count of 5 overs for a match to be complete. It is a complete farce!!

I completely agree with that. I also think that the minimum number of overs should be made at least 10 overs. Also if 10 overs cannot be bowled then have a super over to decide the winner!! Cheers! Ram

If the rain spoils the game it's better to play a super over next day and decide who wins ...

Duckworth Lewis method is confusing me all times,i saw lot of duckworth Lewis method matches ,it's confusing me, the run-rate,overs,runs calculating differently,but i know little bit now because of you,so this discussion clears my satisfaction,and have a nice day my lotter.

It is just ridiculous method to evaluate the result.. i don't know on what basis they figure out the result. I think ICC should avoid this miserable method. Should implement a best one and satisfactory one..
