Double response postings . . . is it on purpose or a glitch?   

Ok, after reading all these posts, I guess it is happening everywhere on myLot. I have always wondered if some people are copying and pasting so that they can quickly make that extra earning, which is a no no of course. Thanks for the reporting advice - I've never reported anything so this is time I start. Always good to hear your suggestions, mysdianait!

Oh yes some are copying and pasting the same response or comment - and I report those too because it is not to be done That's a different matter though and the double posts are not on purpose.

I suggest anything I can that will help the admins. It's our site as well as theirs and we should try and keep it tidy

Ah yes, I noticed it's been going really slow too - particularly during the day - and I thought it was my computer. But about the double posting glitch . . . I haven't seen my postings posting twice yet, but now I'll be checking to see if that happens!!

Yep always good to double check. I'm sure mylot must be aware of its glitches, but you wouldn't want to be accused of something, so better safe than sorry.

I haven't had this glitch happen to me, but apparently there are other glitches that others are experiencing that are happening to me. There are times when it has taken forever to try to post my comment - and it seemed like it didn't post . . . but later I would discover that it indeed went through. I hope the site can fix these errors soon too!

Yeah I am too looking forward for some error rectifications in the site to make it more better.

I suppose it's like this with every site where there are mass people using it. Look at Facebook - it has it's share of errors too. But luckily the errors here aren't as severe.

Yeah true but if they would check those mistakes then only a site would be a fulfilled one. Mistakes are present but it should not be for everyone. Then it is a big mistake.

I thought I had read somewhere that copying and pasting the same answers was a no no - so that's why I had assumed that some people where trying to cheat. But I guess looking at the number of their postings, I see copying and pasting isn't even possible for them yet. But for those who are posting the same answers, yes, I agree shame on them!!! You have a great Mother's day too!!!!!

I have noticed that sometimes it appears that my posting did not go through, but it ends up that it has . . . so I know what you mean. I thought it was on my computer end - but apparently from what everyone says, it is indeed a glitch. Yes, I know if it's twice, one will get deleted and not count toward the earnings.

Yah, the myLot system is pretty keen to spot those who "cheat". But as everyone is saying it's a glitch, I'm glad I posted this so I don't suspect people incorrectly anymore. I thought it was my computer that was going slow, but I guess not. Phew - that clears a lot of things up!

and even mylot admin always take care in repeated posts and delete them, so it not they(any mylot member) can gain something for such repeated work.

I have gone through the same internet connection problem - and I had not realized that it was related to the very issue I speak of in this discussion. Now I realize it is indeed a myLot glitch. I see that the myLot system is very good about double postings, so we don't have to worry so much about anyone who tries to "cheat".

Hatley, oh we all trust you! We know you would never try to do myLot or any of its folks wrong. But as there was mention that copying and pasting multiples of the same answer was a no no, I just assumed maybe I was facing people who were being dishonest in that way, but I guess not. I have also been experiencing these weird internet connections, and I thought it was on my end . . . luckily my posts did post, but it don't do it multiple times. I agree most of myLot is honest - and that you for sure are known to be honest!

thanks much2say, love that user name. Yes I think most of us are honest but was shocked one day when the poster of a discussion sent me a private message telling me that this woman had copied my response to his discussion and used it for her own, just adding the words have a nice
day. That really irked me, and I went back to his discussion and made a comment to the lady that I did not appreciate her copying and usin my response as her own.so some people are not honest after all.

Aw - thanks, Hatley! Wow - someone actually copied your response? What nerve! But now nice that a fellow myLotter was able to PM you about it - otherwise, how else would you know something like that! Sometimes I see that people give real similar answers and I'd have to wonder if they copied it and changed a few words also (especially the short answers). Boooo on copy cats!

That is true, sometimes there have been double postings on Facebook - I forgot about that. Lately, I've been having problems posting on FB - it gives me an oops message and that I need to try later. But back to myLot, I guess it does happen every now and then (well most sites I guess would - no one/site is perfect).

yeah, facebook really isn't too good lately, it's had alot of problems. sometimes it notifies me that something has commented on my status, then when i click to look at it it's not there, it doesn't show up for like five minutes.
but yeah i guess the internet is a very complex invention, it can't go right all the time :)

That weird FB glitch has happened to me too - and I've been getting notes from friends what I said because they couldn't find it. Well, look who invented the computer . . . they're not perfect, so their inventions can't be 100% perfect either, I guess!

haha, yeah. everything breaks from time to time, it's just a matter of fixing it! ...okay that sounded lame but i couldn't think of a better way of saying it.

Well, I'm sure there are opportunists everywhere - but myLot seems to be good about getting rid of such people. I've seen people just flat out post an article copy from other websites for their reply - and that's a no no. But in this weird double posting, I guess everyone is right that it is a double posting glitch . . . I went back and looked at the post times. I had noticed too that my posts appeared to not go through - but had indeed had.
