Looking for Sex Because Spouse is Far Away  |

|  I have a friend who's working abroad while his wife and son are here in the country. He's been there for about 5 years now and he admits how he's longing to sleep with his wife. And since he's all the way over there, and his wife is all the way over here, he's willing to deal with sleeping with another woman just so he can get some and let out his repressions.
Although he's dated around, and tried meeting other girls, he hasn't gotten in bed with any of them. When he came home for a vacation after 4 long years, he was ecstatic to be doing it 2x or 3x a day with his wife. She refuses to go on the pill because she's afraid she might get some complications from it especially since the guy would only be here for a month, and well, he absolutely refuses to wear a condom, so he had to withdraw. When he went back to work, he missed his wife and tried to get her to have phone sex with him, or cybersex. But she's the conventional type, has never done anything like that, and so she does not put any effort into it, and at most times, refuses point blank.
Now he's getting more frustrated than ever and has begun resorting to looking for sex elsewhere. He knows it's wrong, and he loves his wife dearly and his son especially. But he can't go on for another 4 or so years without having sex.
My question is, does his situation justify his reason to look for sex elsewhere? Is it okay to do something like this? I'm not sure how I'm supposed to affect his life and tell him to forget the whole thing, and I'm not sure if I should even try to change his mind about it. What do you think?

| |  Well, i asked some malefriends of mine and they say that he just have to use his hands or as one has put it so nasty, a blow-up doll. Sorry sweetie, but i don't think he should do it. I know men would definately die a horrible death if they don't get any and 4-5 years is a very long time. Shame, i wish him all the luck. Hope he doesn't have any calluses on his hands, sorry, i just had to say that. TATA.

Anyway, I believe there are always other alternatives, like the doing-it-yourself thingy? The end result is the same, it doesn't cost anything, much safer, and no sense of guilt is involved.

I certainly think his wife could've handled it better he probably was longing for her comfort but agian probably so was she, and both should take responsibility for contraception. Off topic but what made them think withdrawl method is contraception?? It takes just one sperm I hope they understand that concept.
It is never acceptable, I would not tolerate if I was married and my wife chated on me so I don't see how his wife would. How would he feel if his wife did the same? Even important question have they talked have they discussed the situation, for example their is no mention of her. I would certainly be curious abiout this does she not feel the same way about me? How abiout her how has she been dealing with her frustrations? Is their any solution? Can she move where he is or is it possible for him to move back? Maybe financially a bit tougher but atleast together. I would certainly say the issue is even bigger than mere frustration. Many relationships break that way.
There is no justification regardless, they can opt for an open relationship but jealousy is not an easy thing to deal with. It will most certainly come to haunt him and probably will certainly kill their relationship. So question he must ask regardless of how frustrating it is, is it worth the risk? He might end up losing her forever!!
