Lessons from a Mother who had a perfect Son |
| |
| The mother: Mary; The son: Jesus Christ. Many of us knows that Jesus Christ had a mother in the flesh named Mary. I learned on mother's day some lessons that are good to share with everyone. 1) She is an instrument of holiness. The Bible recorded that she's holy, virgin, a clean vessel for God's use. 2) She glorified God. She said that she rejoiced in God her Savior. She put God first in her life. 3) She understood the purpose in her life. To be the virgin spoken in the Old Testament prophecy where the Son of God would be born. 4) She gave the Greatest Advice a mother could give. She said in the wedding in Cana: Whatever Jesus Christ saith, do. What lessons have you learned during mother's day? | | | | | |

| | It's interesting that St. Paul was an enemy on the Church until 36 AD when he was converted. Perhaps that manifestation aligns with the saying: "If we hate anything, it will manifest in our lives." St. Paul became a powerful agent toward the spread of Christianism. Perhaps anything we focus on, positive or even negative in our perception, will inevitably manifest in our lives ... What do you think? | | | |

| | It is not biblical and not the practice of christians to pray to mary or the other saints. Mary told the people to "do what Jesus told you." Jesus told us to pray to God through Jesus Christ. | | | |

| | Hi Learn2learn.... have just returned from a funeral....I am not in the mood of entering in a religous debate right now. ( I might do so when I am in the mood LOL). To answer you briefly....if one puts emphasis Mary and the Saints rather than God than it is definitely wrong as you say. However this is not the case with Catholics..... | | | |

| | I learned so many things, not too many that put my own mother in a good light. We talked about a few things on Sunday at church, and the one that stands out the most is a quote from President of LDS, Hinkley, circa 1970(something) "I do not understand why women would want to be reduced to the state of equality with men" Or something to that effect. With Appreciation. | | | | | | |
