| Hi happy mylotters!! Since I am not able to sleep (I have been up since 1 a.m.), I thought I would write a little story for all of you wonderful, passionate cat lovers!! So, I had a bit of a long day yesterday. We had to drive into the city (it' about an hour's drive from where we live) and see a doctor and do some much needed errands. For me, that is quite a long day. So any hoots, I went to be rather early last night because I was so exhausted. I was sleeping pretty good until..... At around 1 a.m., this morning, two of my kids decided to "take it up a notch" as the phrase goes. They were literally going at each other so badly that it woke me and my husband up. I can usually sleep through anything mind you. My husband, on the other hand, is a really, really light sleeper!! So, I did attempt to go back to bed and go back to sleep, but then....THE GROWLING AND HISSING started. There was no turning back for me. I knew that I was going to have to get up to play ref between these two. Although, I still don't know what the problem is between these two, I can tell you this. After all the years that Sassy (the one that started this whole mess) has been with me, she has never, EVER, been the type of cat to be overly friendly or cuddly or, well, anything!!! She doesn't or hasn't ever "loved" on anyone or any other cat that I have had. But, it seems now that after all these years, she has decided to "assert" herself. Because of this, she is causing alot of sleepless nights within our home. Frankly, I don't know what her problem is. But, I can tell you this...SHE STARTED IT!!!! She just won't leave Trixie alone for any period of time. Sassy will pick a fight with Trixie and then run off. Then, she will come back and just sit within 6 inches of Trixie while Trixie is sitting there staring back at Sassy and growling and hissing. Boy, do we have a busy boxing household or what??!! Luckily, my husband is the type that will go back to bed and be able to at least attempt to go back to sleep. Not true for me. But, I can tell you this!!! Sassy is really, really becoming quite the bully around Trixie. Frankly, I am just a bit confused. My home is in an uproar. When this is going on, the other cats literally sit in a semi-circle and look at what is going on. No one will join in or try to break up the fight. They just sit and stare at each other and me. It's like they are trying to say, "Look, we know who started it, but we are no squeals"!!! I hope that you have enjoyed this little story of another "Rocky" tale!!! Have a fantastic day everyone... |
