12 Things You Can Do for Your Country.. a must read for Filipinos  

I voted for this guy even if I heard just a fleeting comment about him being a self-made lawyer from the Visayas (is that correct). But the 12 things list he suggested in his book is being simplistic. There are a thousand and one things everyone can do fo this country. But of course all of us could begin with his suggestions. I think this guy could take Revilla, Jinggoy, Sotto and Lapid collectively.

This is simple and easy to do but because Filipino people hate being disciplined it is impossible. Okay I'm talking negative but its the truth and I'm getting sick of it.

This is a good post. Since we were in our elementary years, our teachers keep on focusing on this topic. They always teach us on how to be a good citizen of the country. Sad to say but true, not all people that gives us the idea of being a good Filipino is doing what they are saying or teaching. How can the young generation follow a good example if the leaders or the people in higher positions won't give a good example. Just for example, during the campaign, we have observed a lot of people who acts like a crab. Once a certain person is having a popular ratings or high ratings,some politician always find ways to pull that person down even though they are not sure if what they are accusing of is true or not. If we really want a change in this country, it must begin with our own self. I think Philippines will be a well-developed country if only its citizens know the word "discipline." I am just wondering why some Filipinos becomes good and discipline only when they are in other country but once they are in their own country, they cannot show it.

Lacson is one of the senators I voted also but I am disappointed that he is not being included on the list of senators who won. Well, I just want to share my sentiments with this but I don't think so that Recto must be put in the government again because for all we know he is the one who imposed E-VAT that makes people suffer so much. I will give my trust with him only, if he remove that E-VAT.

Yeah I heard about this 12 rules to follow back then. I realized it was the senatorial candidate that wrote this one. I think I also voted for this guy, I just forgot who exactly was my list of senators already. From what I know only a handful of them got through the top 12.

As for items 1-3 & 7-8 & 10, 12 I have no question about that it is easy to follow. For items 4-5 I say it is challenging especially #5 and everybody knows why. . #9 is rather not applicable since I am an employee and #11 is also a challenge since I find it hard to support my family the more if I would sponsor a poor child myself. But that is a good thought to do when one is able to earn more for themselves.

I like this post. The thing is I cant follow all this especially the number the number 3 and number 9. I know philippines goods are in good quality especially in electronics. But the problem is, its just too expensive for me to afford. That is why I buy goods that is made from china. I think most of the goods are made in china because its cheaper. Even if its low quality but its ok because its cheap and can buy a new one. Just be choosy when buying made in china products. Number 9, I cant follow because I dont have and employee lol. Anyway, let just keep our Filipino pride that we can stand on our feet whatever crisis we faced and thats us Filipinos.

Our society tolerates one change at a time. And as for these set of rules, some our never hard to follow.

Others who got traumatized, mainly of experienced, will be having a hard time following number 5.

But I am very positive that in our own little way, we can help or influence the people around us to make those changes by starting with ourselves.

A very good post. I had 8 senators in my list. The other 5 - I had second thoughts. So I didn't include them and Alex Lacson is one of those 5.

What annoyed me though is how Bong Revilla got in - what will he do? Beat all the bad guys with his Panday sword? LOL
