Have you ever been the maid of honor or the best man?  

First i think i will have to make clear of the difference between the bridemaid and the maid of honor. Would please give me more explanation. I thought they were exactly the same for i am from China and i think Chinese wedding ceremony is quite different from other countries.

Same to me when i was asked to be my high schoolmate's maid of honor. We got along very well during the school days but after graduation we contacted less. When she was about to get married she called me and invited me to be her maid of honor and it was really a honor for me and i accepted without hesitation. Now she is pregnant and i am happy for her that she will soon be a mom.

yes, we were too young to know things need to be paid attention to during the wedding ceremony, especially if it is your first time to be a maid honor or the best man, but actually no one really cared about that, and i was doing fine for the first time.

yes, and at the same time you can witness the real wedding ceremony and share their happiness. Its a very good thing. whats more in china maid of honors (usually there are two)will be given a red envelope (with money in) by the bride.

My sister is 4 years older than i am and when she got married i was almost the same age as yours then (16 or 17 years old), i knew nothing about wedding, i only knew that i should accompany her to walk for some while, Luckily, i was not doing something funny or wrong then and i was so happy for her.

Maybe you are still very young...Whatever it is try to make more friends and get along well with your friends and when they get married they will surely ask your to be their maid of honor.

i have been maid of honor twice, one is for my sister and the other is for my best friend. they are both living very well now. My sister has been married for 8 years and she still gets along well with her husband. my best friend got married last year and she is pregnant now, and her husband is very good to her and her parents.

Now that you are informed a year in advance you have enough time to prepare it and i am sure you will witness a wonderful wedding ceremony.

Hehehe. I think there's a show about this, soon to be brides turning into monsters (figuratively of course) during the planning of their wedding. They turn bossy and demanding and they check every single detail and give stress to everyone around them. LOL.

oh, i see, so its the name of a horrible movie. It must be exciting for the beautiful brides turn out to be the horrible monsters, but i dont think i would watch it. Frightening!
