Do you know good exercise for our abdominal muscle?  email this discussion to a friend?

I only have minimum of time to do regular exercise at fitness club.. Maybe I only have less than 1 hour a day..I want to have good body shape, especially to reduce fats on abdominal area and maybe build six packs shape.. I always use thread mill and ended up with swimming using free style..Actually the result is not that bad but I need more precise tips and more effective ways to do it.. My friend told me to add sauna right before swimming..What do you think? Do you know any exercise or steps to build our abdominal muscle?

I would prefer sit-ups because its easy to do and it builds up your abdominal muscles even without going to any fitness gyms. You can do that in your house for 100 counts everyday plus healthy diet and after several days you will see the best results of your abdominal muscle.

i think u r right,best abdominal exercises such as sits ups,leg raises,crunches takes very less time to complete.these exercise wont burn off many calories,its been proven many times that energy must be burnes in order to lose permanent weight.

Hi 347eat, appreciate for your quick response.. You are right, sit-ups is the easy and cheap method to build up our abdominal muscles even we don’t need going to the gym..I used to do it before eating or right after I wake up in the morning…However we should be careful otherwise we will hurt our back or neck if we doing it improper way…..have a nice day and happy mylotting…

Hi parulbidani, appreciate your response..I agree as well, those abdominal exercise really need to strengthen our muscle ..however those method not always effective once we still have lots of fat on those abdominal area…then we should take diet and control our eating and eliminate fats on those area if we want achieve better and faster result to get done….have a nice day and happy mylotting..

curls up and sit ups would do..
100 count of curls up and 100 counts of sit ups and surely for only 1 week you can see results..

Hi zedrick, appreciate your response… You are right, we should take those exercise in order to build up our abdominal muscle…If we can do it routinely in daily basis I am sure we could achieve good result.. however we should eliminate those fats around those area to make it faster….have a nice day and happy mylotting..

to have nice six pack abs, you need to lower your body fat percentage to 10% by doing cardio exercise (like your doing now, frequency of your routine is ok, maintin your cardio-exercise to less than 60min.)and increase your protein intake to 1 or 1.5 x your lean mass (protein should be good source, less fat), while your carbs. should keep in minimum (carbs should be low g.i. complex carbs) and lastly you need EFA (essential fatty acids like flax seed oil, extra virgin olive oil & etc.), after lowering down your body fat percentabe to 10% then thats the only time you think of abs exercise, in this stage, you should hit the different parts of abdominal muscle (rectus abdominus - 30 degree partial sit-up, leg raise, & etc., oblique - oblique crunch, dumbbell side bend & etc., serratus - one arm cable crunch, intercostal - russian twist, plate twist, air bike & etc) vary your set & reps. every 3 weeks (3x15/4x10/5x5), you can use resistance with this prescribe exercise to add deepper grove and during your low volume keep your tempo to + 2 eccentric..hope this help...PUMP IT UP! thumbup

I will definitely source those exercise you recommend …I think besides technically doing those exercise also we need to motivate our self.. without good motivation we will feel lazy and lose our focus every time doing it…Many people failed to maintain their body due to self motivation problem…have a nice day and happy mylotting..

I was told that sit ups are good for the abdominal muscles. Before I start to do lots of sit ups, I do isometric abdominal exercises. I do 10 every once in a while then next week I'll start 5 sit ups and work up.

TO build abdominal muscles, one need not be doing nay sit ups or crunches etc, at all.. Just concentrate on your core muscles, and your 6packs will show up nicely.. lol =D

Everybody has got 6pack of abs just that it's being hidden behind our layer of layers.. While crunches and situps will only force those fats to show up more, instead of muscles.. haha =D

As such, do core exercises, focusing on the abs, such as planks, will help to develop strong and visible abs.. haha =D

Hi kun , appreciate your great response.. You have a point here ( finally you have chance to show your expertise somewhere here..hahaha), meaning we could able to show ups our abs by doing core exercise…basically, we should eliminate our fats on those area by do proper dieting program and do regular exercise with good motivation…

yeah there are lots of sets for abs but i will cause muscle sprain . u should do regularly for that . do crunches side dumbbell rows

Hi karthikk, appreciate your response… you have good point, we should do regular exercise no matter what a method is.. however we are not suppose enforce our muscle too hard otherwise we will have muscle injured rather than build up them…the crunches side dumbbell will have good effect to our abdominal muscles as well….have a nice day and happy mylotting..

hmmm, i guess they said it already. sit-ups and crunches will do, as long as you do them correctly. you must feel the tension in your abdomen, that way you'd know your crunches are working.

Pilates would be a good exercise for abdominal muscles. I've only tried that type of exercise a couple of times, and it makes you feel like you worked out even if you haven't spent a lot of time doing it. And you can feel a definite burn would you do use it.

Possible searcing online for some tips. A lot of things to reduce fat and stay fit takes time and energy on a regular daily basis. I think if you really want it you will take the time out of the day to do it.
