Universal message from Guru Gobind Singh  

Romanized Gurmukhi :

Hindu Turk koouu rafji emaam saafi; manaz ki jaat sabbai ekai pahchaanbo
Koouu bhaiyou mundeyaa saniyaasi koouu jogi bhayou, kouu brahm charee, kouu jati anmaanbou.

ek hee kae sev, sab kee Gurdev, ek ek hee saroop, sabee ek jot janbou.
karta karn soee rajak raheem ohii thoosrou, na bheet koi bool barm maanbo.

English translation :

Some shave their heads, others never cut their hair, some become yogi, others embrace celibacy, and others become aestics. Some are Hindus, others are Muslims, Some are Shi'ite, some are Sunni. But recognize all as one human race.

God is the creator (Karta), the Bestower (Kareem); the Sustainer (Raazak), the Merciful (Raheem). There is no difference (the 4 names are from Hindu and Muslim names of God); to think otherwise would be a mistake. All worship only one God, the supreme Guru of all, and we should regard that form as one and God's essence pervading in all.
