Out of curiosity I just googled the price of them in the USA and the best was a sale price of US$30 (about 960TB) for six fruits. I just paid 20TB (about US$0.60) for a whole kilo (about 15 fruits). WOW! I love Asia!

Several years ago I spent what is here winter but there summer in Australia.

Anyway, as you say the prices of fruit were amazing ! A pineapple for example of the same quality and size here for about 3.50 USA dollars, was about .50 cents there. Also since our "dollar" was worth more , I was actually buying the same fruit for about .30 cents US currency.

On the other hand houses were WAY overpriced. A 100 grand house here would be 275 grand there.

But, it seems you have found your "nitch" and I'm happy for you !

The Mangos were Vere reasonable as well but since I don't normally eat fruit I can't remember the price there. Seems it was 2 for 1.0 or something. Also they have those tint Bananas ( Can't remember what they were called ) that were really good since that is something i eat on rare occasions. Kind of like a "Paw Paw" here , but no seeds.

Seafood is also cheep there but Beef is another story. There is a Huge difference between "Mince Meat" and Ground Beef..

I really enjoy mangoes, but they have to be yellow. Thais seem to like it when they are still green and sour.

Ah I want my mangoes yellow too! I especially love them when they're sweet. The only green mango I eat would be the Indian mango. It's really good too. lol.

When Indian mangoes are super right, they are good! I'm not sure if they are as sweet as ripe yellow mangoes but they taste good! You should try it. When Indian mangoes are ripe, they are orange colored even if its skin is still green. :)

I am with you, moon, I am not much of a fruit eater either, but this fruit is so delicious I can not resist! Even now my fingers are purple color from the unedible pulp! If you ever have the chance, taste on!

I love tomatoes too! I only recently enjoyed eating tomatoes raw but with combined with salty egg perhaps or salted fish. Usually, I want it cooked with egg as in omelets.

Yep , gotta have salt and if I'm having tomatoes, eggs, salad ect. , then it's a must.

Have you ever tried Fried Green Tomatoes ? It's a southern dish in the USA and really good.

I don't like sugar but I Love salt..

I like tomatoes but do not rarely use salt...very rarely. It took a long time, but I feel that without the salt you get a truer flavor from the food.

My secondary mom used to make Fried Green Tomatoes...pretty good! She was raised in the south!

not fair,not fair, just had supper,fried greent tomatoes I love them and I am on the West coast. I also love a ripe tomato right out of the garden too. yummy

They are good any way you fix them arn't they Hatley. YUMMM !

I raise them myself so always have plenty and sliced tomatoes is an almost everyday thing with me.

Wow. a lot of you love fried green tomatoes. What kind of tomatoes do you use? Is this another variety of tomato? Or you just use tomatoes that haven't turned red or orange yet to prepare this recipe?

Most any kind will work but I use Early Girl or Rudgers as they are more perfect in shape and not as juicy as say a Beefsteak would be.

I am not a big fruit eater at all, but sweets and most sweet fruit I enjoy! One thing I am getting used to over here is putting hot sauce on fruit as well. Amazing Thailand for sure!

Thanks antiquelady! It is too hard and expensive to get in the states so that is why I am so excited about it. Tasty and very healthy. Hope some day it will be available readily in the States!

Never had the wine. Guess I will have to look for it. Thailand has started to produce wine now in the last 10 years or so and some of it is pretty good. Most that I have tried are fruit winds and they are a bit sweet, but have a kick!

It tasted the same as Red wine, I dont see the difference from the taste of wine made of grapes at all. Its sweeter and smoother though.
