Printer refill ink  

Hello,
There are a few printer refil cartridge shops where I live and yes they do seem to be busy. The cost of original ink catridges in my opinion is a rip off. So many cartridges have chips on them nowadays which are meant to tell the printer when the ink has run out, but, when you take the cartridge out and shake it you know there's plenty ink left. I have tried using refill kits but they never seem to work very well. I would rather buy a cheap alternative cartridge as I know they work.
OK they ink quality is not as good but unless you are printing photos it makes very little difference. If you are printing text documents then they are fine, after all black is black.

I have an Epson printer and have been told by people in these Refill shops that I would do more damage than good trying to refill it.
The cheaper the printer is to buy the more expensive the ink cartridges seem to be...

Refilling cartridges is not very tough and it is indeed very easy. All you need for refilling printer cartridge is a bottle of ink and a syringe. Well, I can tell you how to do that for free instead of spending money. But, any mishaps that occur is not my fault.

In our place, there are already a lot of shops that has ink refilling business. They also install a continuous ink system wherein there will be a set of 1 liter inks installed on the printer. Using this and refilling ink cartridges might save money but when they are not refilled properly the cartridge might leak and the ink will stain the printerhead which will cause your printer to malfunction. Still, a lot of people resolve to refilling and continuous inks especially if they are in the photo printing business.

Ink refilling (as they call it) is everywhere here! It is way too cheaper than buying the original ink that's why people prefer to do refilling than buy a new one. I myself, studied refilling and it saves me almost 80% on ink. There is no problem with ink refilling but when it comes to what they call "continuous ink", it is a huge problem because it voids the warranty of the printer and most often than not, printers got damage to the point that they are irreparable. I think your friend needs to buy a new printer and if he/she still plans to have a "continuous" flow of ink, I recommend Epson T10....we are using it for almost a year now and we have not encountered any problem yet. I think it is the best printer for your friend.

I dun think ple here do refills for their printer inks.. INstead, we will be buying those individual catridges if they are running out.. Most printers, has got individual ink catridges now, and that makes it more convenient for one to replace it, economically, rather than buying those all in one catridge, when only one color had run out.. hehe

Here in the USA I think that the printer refilling is for home only. That is to say I've not come across a business that does it for you, but there is ink on the market that can be used to refill the printer cartridge.

in my place, at jakarta, printer ink refill business this time in booming. In everywhere you can see the counter of printer ink refill. Use ink refill indeed more efficient but I had a bad experience with ink refill because my printer head becomes damaged. Consequently I must buy a new printer because the price of a printer head with almost the same price of a new printer, not much different. My advice, if you want use the ink refill, don't use more than two times of use, more than that, you should replace or buy new printer ink, of course, the ink original

I tried re-filling ink tanks and did not have good luck.
Its a real pain in the arse and not worth the effort.
Go to a search engine and enter "printer ink" and you
will get tons of ads and the prices are great.

We can refill our cartridges but Ive had way too many issues with it in the past. It can overflow, or explode then damage the printer. In the end you would have to buy a new printer and ink. I dont print that much anyways so in the end it doesnt cost me that much.
