Why do I get mad all the time with this?  

Hi, giftbagsandcom. You get mad because you don't want to go to the store and carry heavy bags while spending any money. Why don't you go to the store and don't spend any money. I know that it is hard to not to, but you can do this without having to overdraft your account. And do you always pay for your mom's groceries? Doing for your mom can be hard, but it is even harder when you can't say no. Try having a talk with your mom telling her that, you don't always want to carry bags if you don't have to do any grocery shopping.

so, does this start or stop when you move to Florida?

If you feel like she is using you and you don't want to go, the best thing to do is just say no. Why get resentful at your mother for your choices? You have control over this situation.

I think you must talk to your mother about what you feel. And you will hear the response of your mother and don't deny it. Keep it slow down and try to give her understanding until you and her get a solution.

Possible she just wants to spend time with you and this is the only way she can. I find this is how my Grandmother gets time in with us. Also, could it be she hates carrying bags and you always there to carry them for her. I would say NO one time and see her reaction to it. If shes really hurt possible she just wants to spend time with you. If shes rather mad then possible she just wants you to carry her bags for her.

Well, she's your mother and there's nothing you can do about it. Just be a good kid and follow her. If you disagree w/ her, it could lead to arguments. I sometimes get angry too but i just do it. I don't think why. I just think how i'M gonna do the task.

I do not think you are mindful of the trips down to the grocers or coming out with heavy bags at the end of the trip.

Don't mind my straightforwardness here, but I feel it has all to do with your current financial situation. So, you cannot blame your mother for seemingly insensitive because she is unaware of your situation, to begin with.

If you can, I feel that it will do everyone a favor or good if you could be upfront and let your mother know about your current situation. I am sure a compromise can be reached, you just have to take the initiative here.

Look, your mamma changed your diapers and cleaned up your vomit and cradled you and taught you what you needed to know....being a mom is a lifetime job and once you have kids there really is nothing else more important. If my mom asked me to do something, i guarantee you I will do it....she is responsible for me even being alive!!!! maybe you don't have kids to understand how much work and sacrifice it takes to be a good mom. nothing is ever the same or easy again. please carry your mamma's groceries. do it without even having to be asked. this is the right thing to do....in fact, if there is ANY woman that is struggling with groceries or anything else, you should be a good person and help...

Your mum might be just trying to spend some more time with her, and maybe she is getting that she finds it tiring and difficult, I'm sure in her time she has done a lot for you and this is only a small thing for you to do for her.

I would be apt to believe that the reason that you get angry about this is because you aren't the one that is spending money and yet you are the one that is left with the burden of carrying her bags. At least that is the reason that I would be upset about it if it were me. I love to go to the store with my mother because that is time that the two of us are able to spend together, however, I would never carry her wares for her because I usually have my hands full with the children.
