|  I know, it has been almost a week since mothers day, but I wasn't in town for one and for two, I am just now getting back to my routine..
My son had made this in school using model magic.Sorry it is so blurry, but I was so touched, because he told me that he tried to make it look like my purple irises that have bloomed for the first time this year.
I think he did a great job, since an iris is not an easy flower to duplicate..:)

| |  carmelanirel thats a lovely gift from your son, handmade and so lovely
and so touching. I remember one year I got a gift from my son when he was little of his hand modeled in plaster of paris and had a ribbon tied on it, another time and this I have here yet with me, a square of real wood polished and varnished then a cutout picture of himself withhis little sister glued onto it and sealed with some protective substance. it made me cry as it was so thoughtful and such a great photo of the two together. they were really quite attractive children if I do say so myself. I still haveit and its one of my favortite gifts for mothers day many years back.

What a sweet thought for your son to make you something that replicates a flower that has its first bloom.
How old is your son? I believe that the gifts that a person makes can be just as good as something they paid for , its all about the thought that goes into the gift that counts. I'm sure you'll remember this Mother's Day Gift for many years to come

| |  I have other discussion notifications from you left in my inbox, I think. I haven't been away. But I have had a flurry of doctor appointments, and my mom is pretty ill, so I've been trying to watch over her when my dad has to be away. Plus it seems like my inbox has been swamped with surveys, Gather notifcations, and mylot notifications. Doing Gather isn't fun to me. I much prefer the Mylot crowd.

| |  nice gift.. mother's day are so special to mothers.. but we should teach children to worry about mothers all the 365 days in the year.. one should not care about their parents in a didicated day like mother's day or father's day.. how ever it is pleasing we can see atleast a one day is dedicated to all the mothers out there.. it is so special..
