What makes page rank so important?  

A lot of non-commercial blogs also have adsense ads. A higher page rank means that you can get more visitors. I guess the bloggers wanna earn a little extra money. Also, many bloggers blog as they want to be 'seen' or 'heard' online. A higher page rank will definitely help.

I think it's important for search engines. The higher your page rank is, the higher you are in the hierarchy when a your tag have been hit by a search engine. I'm not sure though. It was just explained to me by a friend.

Funny I saw this topic because I have been really making my focus on my blogs. Pagerank is imporant when it comes to the search engines. The higher the pagerank of a site the higher prority it gets on the search page of a serach engine. For me I feel this is not something I know a whole lot about but that is the little bit of info I found out researching the subject the day before yesterday. Nice topic, happy mylotting.

Page rank is very important in the world of internet marketing. Page rank is given to a site when it is doing well in SERP or in search engine result page. it tells advertisers that this site does have high traffic. It is like an indication or a reputation point. If your site or blog have a high page rank. It means your blog is having the traffic. With high traffic, mean more earning. Non commercial sites do have adsense ads with it. Most of it, They want to earn to from their traffic ofcourse.

Page ranks make the number of visitors to their blog or website, much higher, as compared to low page rank.. PLus, most of them are earning via google adsense etc, and thus page rank is very much important to them.. hehe ^_^

Even for non commercial sites, i guess majority just wanna be earning some money too, without having to do anything much.. haha

I think page ranking brings more business or shows how many people use their site. I mean its a way of saying we are more popular and better than this competetor.
