The controversial dance number  

I think the girls should have worn leggings or maybe jeans with a jacket instead. I know many girls had dressed like this in some dance contest before but there was no youtube then tats why there is no controversies.

There would be controversy without YouTube but it would certainly be on a smaller scale. I don't think the majority of their moves were bad, though there were a few that made me cringe, it's the outfits that I think really made it controversial. If they had worn leggings or jeans with a jacket, as you said, the outcry would probably be minimized.

If ease of movement is the excuse of the choreographer, there were so many outfits that covers and still provides ease of movement. I saw some all female dance crews that doesn't
dress revealing at all but they manage to move with precision and speed.

It was indeed mature and inappropriate, There had been interviews with the parents and tey dont see anything wrong with it,

many children in the philippines also wear those kind of clothes when dancing but you can still see innocence with them and they move slower than those girls in the video so you can still say that our girls look childish and innocent.

It was a source of debate in the American news until now, i wonder if those girls knew how controversial they were.

The girls look more asian than american

2 of them are Asians but the rest were Caucasians, well in US, as long as you are born there you are American regardless of your race.

I remember our country have a TV titled going Bulilit and they have the little girls dance in skimpy outfits as well and they also ave little boys dress in drag but there is no controversy. I guess in our country its more normal. Who says we are more conservative than Americans? Actually we are not.

I think the little girls should have worn something age appropriate and they should not have been allowed to dance and dress that way. I heard comments like the dance its amazing but its disturbing. I dont know we the parents thinks its a harmless dance.

Yes I remember hearing those comments. People are appalled, and the parents are defensive. I saw somewhere that that isn't the only song they dance and sing provocatively too.

The excuse of their choreographer. Its only for the ease of movements.

Well the movements they should not be doing either, so I would not accept that as an excuse at all.

I loved it, he is a great dancer. Back to the girls. If my daughter wanted to be a dancer I would allow her but there`s no way in hell I would let her wear a revealing outfit is just not appropriate, some parents might agree to it but I don't even if it just for dancing as they said, they could it had come up with some other outfits instead of the ones those girls were wearing.

That teddy bear is an internet Meme known as pedobear.Sorry If I get the wrong video since youtube is annihilating them but I think its for the good. Imagine it became so controversial that even Hollywood personalities reacted to it.
