When did you learn to swim?  

I was at summer camp. We used to go swimming in the lake! I pretty much was watching every one else and figured it out and started swimming. I was 8 and I have continued to enjoy swimming!

I had swimming lessons at school, it was compulsory then in the late 1970s. I hated the water though and have never been able to swim more than a couple of widths of the pool. Nowadays I avoid going swimming as I still think it is dangerous and don't enjoy it.

I was very young when my parents taught me to swim...so young that I'm not sure how old I was. I've always loved the water...pool, lake, ocean...and I've always been comfortable in the water. I taught all of my kids to swim at an early age, too. I think they were around two when we first started/

I was probably 4 when I started swimming- I took lessons. I continued until I was about 9. I tried swimteam when I was 10, but my sister and I didn't really like the team or the people running it.
The one thing I never learned to do was to dive- it freaked me out too much. But I can swim pretty well, I guess. My form's really sloppy now.
