|  I have noticed many people really like to personalize their laptop with own taste.. One of the simple way is stick the laptop skin on its cover or put stickers on some areas as well..They like to put unique skin or stickers to differentiate their laptop from others.. My self not really like to personalize my laptop, I just like to buy the laptop with my favorite color and that's more than enough.. I will let my laptop as is... How about you? Do you like personalize your laptop with skins or stickers on it?

| |  I must admit, I have seen the skins and stickers that you can buy for your laptop, but for me they just look a little tacky. I have a laptop and not really bothered about the colour i bought it just because i needed one at the time that had everything i needed on it, and that was enough for me... i think the skins are good to some degree because they can help protect the laptop casing, and they are nice in the avaliable designs and colours, but the stickers just look too tacky for me, and i could imagine they could become quite messy if they start to come away. I am just happy with my laptop the way it is, and having a personal photo of my own as my desktop wallpaper, and for me that is personal enough, and does not cost anything.

I agree with you, those stickers really looks little tacky .Even the skins not really interesting me since I already satisfied with original surface I have got.. I realize this situation really depends one every person taste..I really happy with my chosen laptop color and will always keep it like that...I already thinking what is looks like from the beginning I planned to bought my laptop...

| |  The skins are good for protection but some of the designs out there are just not my thing. Stickers on the other hand, well some are good if they complement the color of your laptop. I think its much better if it has matte finish.
Id rather get my laptop a SLAPPA sleeve than those anyway.

| |  I dont personalize my laptop at all really on the outside but on th inside I do. I know some people who were in my class would have stickers, plates and so form on theirs. Im really hard on my laptops and well all my electronics. I dont have time to personalize it since Im replacing it so often. The next time I purchase a new laptop I am planning to get a personalized plate to protect it.

Hi Ricki, you have good point, I also feels the same way and noticed that we should not compromise and make our laptop even looks uglier than before..Personalized plate, May I know what you meant by that? It's just plate attached on our laptop or some kind of thick stickers..

| |  I dun have any laptops to talk about.. haha =D BUT even for my friends, they wont be doing anything to their laptop either.. They prefer it simple and clean.. haha =D After all, sticker will tend to peel after some time.. And when they decide to peel it off, it's gonna leave some stains on it..
PLus, most of them are working in the office or be meeting clients, it wont be nice to have a laptop with stickers which make them appeared unprofessional.. hehe

You are right, I agree with your friend and also like to leave it like original ones.. since the stickers not really long lasting and they will peel off in future as well.. Those stains will also looks ugly too.. i think those stickers and skins are corny and they eventually peel off leaving it with an ugly residue
so no, i wouldn't do that to my laptop
i did invest in a laptop sleeve, cooling pad and mouse though
so i invest more in functional items for my laptop

You are right, it will definitely looks uglier than original and the residue or stains make it even worse..So it's better to maintain our laptop looks and functionality as well rather than ruin it up..hmm.. I also use those cooling pad since my laptop tends to get hot and will ended up to damage our hardisk as well ,especially if we often using it outdoor or inside non air condition room... alarm system?? I think that little bit too much but please share what it looks like? Maybe also great idea to follow your idea...

| |  I have a hp mini (black) and I write on it with wet erase markers, they come off easily with a damp cloth/paper towel. I like them because I am able to personalize it without having a big sticky mess with stickers or skins. I say to each their own, I hate to put stickers on things because of the icky stickiness they leave.

| | Hi offkey, appreciate your response.. meaning you have netbook or mini notebook, I am confuse with so many type of laptop nowadays..haha..we erase markers..it seems fun that you can erase them off easily using cloth or paper towel..That sounds great idea...So that people able to personalize their laptop without bother about rendering its looks beause of ugly residue if we put stickers on it...the stickers are not good choice but people still using it since it cheaper and easy to get...

| |  I've thought about purchasing one of those skins for my laptop to protect it since mine has one of those shiny covers that gets scratched up so easily. The problem is that most of the skins I've seen are really not to my taste. And they cost quite a bit for these funky designs. Otherwise, I don't really do anything to personalize it. I hate using stickers (I did that for my XBox) because it's a pain to take off later on. I prefer to just personalize the stuff on the inside like my wallpaper or icons or whatever.

I have got your point, you put skins mainly for protection purpose than cosmetic only...skin choices really not as much as stickers and hard to fine to unique ones, maybe you should order from internet, so many unique design out there...Yeah, stickers really not works for us.. really hard to take it off without leave any mark or residue..the other solution is just put another stickers every time we are boring with the existing stickers we have...

| | I don't really like to put skins on my laptop. I am happy looking at it as it is. However if I want to personalize it, I will just do it on my windows desktop. Maybe change the desktop background or something to make it look different. But with skins, maybe I will choose a transparent one just to protect my laptop from scratches, but not with designs. I respect those with stickers on them. As long as the stickers don't look cheap, why not. :) | | | | | | |
