Do you let search engine access your personal social networking account?   

Its not search engines who am I afraid its people who we become friends online,
We let ourselves to be notice .

Actually i do not let search engines search my social networking profile. But it depends if i have the option. If i don’t have the option to let them stop there is no way to get rid of these things.
I think there is no reason to make myself searchable. I think if some one even finds me there what he will do. And i think in most cases there must be a misuse only.

My social networking pages are usually public because I'm using them for backlinks. But I don't let these accounts have access to my email accounts or link to it for the contact list.

No, I dont never. I always put on blockers and privacy settings. Ive taking a lot of courses on fraud and crime that Im paranoid for anything to happen. I know a few of my friends who have been frauded and i.d. theft. Alot dont realize that some sites put their personal information on search engines or over the Internet.

HOw are u gonna control that?? IF others were to know your name, they can always be searching your name on any search engines, and your profile will be exposed.. haha =D Same like mylot, i can be searching for your username in yahoo or google, whatever results i get from there, is more than enough for me to steal your identity.. hehe

i use to hide my profile in facebook from being searched., but i have changed it now in a manner that people can find me when they search for my name in those search engines. i just do it because before most of my friends do have hard time finding me and connecting with me.
but oh, i have checked it again and try to search for my name, the only one that i find is that one account that i have in FB that i am not using! hehe and its still set to be private just showing my name & my gender!
