she sounds as if she's pregnant,your friend also needs to see if the cats going anywhere in particular to sleep,for instance behind the couch,under beds or in wardrobes,somewhere quite,coz if she is that's where she'll probably have the kittens

My cat had kittens and she had them in a drawer that i had left pulled open.She had been looking all over the house and then all of a sudden i called her and she did not come so i went to look for her and she was in the draw and when she saw me she stood up as if to say i am here and i saw a kitten being born aswell as another one that she had already given birth to.

Your friend should try to set up a place in the house for the cat to have her kittens. It should be a quiet place where the cat will not easily be disturbed by the other cats or family members. She could perhaps put a low basket or bin of some kind in the corner of a small room or a closet and line the bottom with clean towels or some other soft cloth. Otherwise the cat is likely to choose her own place that may not be safe, clean and dry for the kittens.
