If you have got command over language and have a good imagination, there is no question why you can't write. Everbody hesitates while starting a new venture. You are no exception.

Sit down and think very calmly about the story on which you want to write, create characters and make a note of everything.

Slowly and gradually, you would take more interest. Start with a very short story and see how further you have already gone.

Writing a book is an ambitious undertaking. It takes a lot of work, to write, then edit, then prepare the book. However, if you never begin, you will never accomplish your goal. One thing you might want to try and do is participate in a group called NaNoWriMo. This is a group that takes up the challenge every year to write a book in one month's time (specifically, November). Of course, a lot of work has to be done before and after the competition (revising, rewriting), but if you need support to get started, you might consider this.

They have local groups in the US, but also people participate from around the world via the Internet every year. Whether you use this or some other method, I wish you good luck!

That's a very bright idea and i'm sure you will be successful for i feel you really like that.

You can browse online on tips on getting started.You can just write a question in your browser and im sure the internet will supply you all the tips you need.

My only advice is be careful which sites you use to publish your article cause there are people here who can steal your article.So finding a good copyright protection must go hand in hand in finding a publisher.

I'm going to write my first book myself and I have already decided in publishing it through Amazon's CreateSpace, a print-on-demand publishing service. However, I don't expect to make money from publishing it, but at least, I will have a book published and it will be selling on Amazon.com.

Right now, the writing part is not the most difficult part of writing a book. What is difficult is coming up with a good subject and some unique solution to a common problem. I have already spent a year on my idea for a book and tossing it around my head if it is indeed publishable. Anyway, I'll know in a month or two when I finally finish my first draft.

There are a lot of websites and self-help books that are out there on this topic. For writing itself, I would suggest a wonderful book called A Writer's Book of Days by Judy Leeves which gives you daily prompts to inspire you and loads of tips for writing. Once you have something written, you can try publishing it at the Lulu website where they self-publish books for free, you just pay if you buy them. Good Luck!

Write it down and work around it. Don't worry about the grammar or the spelling, just get the main part done..Then you can revise it by correcting the spelling and grammar and rewrite some parts that you want to change..I did this to my story I am trying to get published at least a dozen times and I'm working on my query now..


I belong to a Christian writer site where after you are active there for a while you can share your ideas and get it critiqued so it will be the best possible condition if you want to go with a literary agent like I am doing. If you are interested in the link, just PM me..:)

Just do it. Start writing in a journal and eventually the rest will come as you get into the habit of doing it daily and other ideas begin to gel. How to approach it other than "just do it" will depend on what kind of book you want to write.
