What is your priority while buying a cell phone..?

Well, I am not really techie and I am practical on most stuff. With cellphones, the first thing that I consider is the brand. I prefer Nokia not because of glam points but because since it's the most widely used cellphone brand here in the Philippines, there are also lots of service centers within the country, there are lots of parts available and also, the service fee for the technicians to fix Nokia phones are relatively low as opposed to other cellphone brands.

I'm not really into have loads of functions on my mobile phone as I never seem to bother using all of them so there's no point paying extra for them. I suppose the priorities for me would simply be the cost,the network,the size and the quality of the screen.
I carry my phone with me always so it has to be compact enough to fit into my pocket without feeling uncomfortable.
The screen has to be of high quality as my eye sight is not as good as it used to be so the easier to read the better.

I bought my first cell phone in year2000 during my university education period.That time my priority was just to have a phone for communication purpose. So i bought ericson model, it was like a quarter size brick with protruding antenna. Later, i fed up with its size and bought very small sized sony-ericsson. That time my priority was to have a small size phone with good sms facility .Later when coloured display phones arrived to market with camera and GPRS, i had an interst on it and bought a nokia phone. Now i have a chinese phone with dualsim,touchscreen,camera and tv, because my priority was to have a phone with those faetures specially dual SIM. In future i am planning to buy a internet phone with dual sim features.

I just bought k770i it nice phone because , i guess it fit my budget.Then is all rounder phone will acceptable camera ,and also loud enough music player.Next it is a 3G phone which mean can browse net when required. It also accept multimedia additional memory card so i can store more stuffs in there. Next , it support Java so i can use application for free java games and other tools.
Functionality wise it is simple phone to use , with it own software just enought and not too much that it will cause it to hang and such.
My gf is using the K810i phone which is better but bulkier. K770i is much slimer and less heavy.I like my phone.

I'm used to compare the price and specifications.

The first thing came to mind when I chose a cell phone was its reliability, and in this case band names do matter. Only buy good brands. The second things is price, and then connectivity. The fourth would be the screen resolution, the fifth the camera, and so on. Style doesn't matter much to me.

After getting the specifications I needed, I compared the prices. I bought the cheapest ones.

since i have a landline for my main phone, my cell phone is used for only emergencies or when we are on computer and we cannot be reached. i use a tracfone. my minutes are usually high, but i have to buy a card every 3 months to keep the service. i don't need the other gadgets.

choosing the cell phone depends on the need,affordability and also on the profession the person is in.the profession decides wherher the use and handeling is rough or not.personally i first check out for the brand.if its a well known brand i would go for it.next as a human being i would like to have all the features you have mentioned in one cell phone.but if its not possible i would look for the following things in chronological order:connectivity,great looks,great audio.i absolutely would not prefer the china handsets.

1st thing 1st, you need to check the phone on what you really want. if you use your phone for your daily work. you really needed some smartphone, which you can always used to your work. But, if you really needed just for only music player, picture taking and gaming you don't really needed a high specs phone. Same as my girl wants, she is fun of having some pictures where every she go. So prefered to let here have a cybershots functionality, so we picked sony ericson cybershots. ^_^
