I felt that replying to a discussion is becoming mandatory.  

Quit letting this one person bother you. We all fit MyLot in as we can, and cannot always get to responses right away. It must have been a good discussion to have 63 responses. Congratulations.

i have seen many discussion that they are not comments back to the responder. and it is ok for me if someone did it. sometimes they just got bored with the topic. i have never had 63 responses, but i will comment back because it is fun for me.

Yeah I'm not sure why anyone bothered you about that. If you respond, you respond. If you don't, you don't. It's not in the rulebook that it has to be done and there's a number of reasons why people don't respond. One of which could easily be that they simply don't have anything to say. I wouldn't sweat it. Just ignore it.

That person was off base. There isn't a rule that you Have to respond to Every comment. I have only written to every person and it was because of a stupid typo. I apologized to everyone who looked beyond it and answered my post. I have deemed a best response Without commenting on it! It all depends on what is written. Some posts are so complete there isn't anything to add.

its not really mandatory as we can reply whenever we want too though of course we need to reply for them to feel that we listen to what they say, though in my case if i reply to one then some next comments are almost the same as the one that i already replied with then i just read them and will not give my reply. at least i still tried to reply to them though may not all of them.

Well,mandatory is when it stated in myLot regulations,I didn't received any of these kind of words to anybody so far as sometimes its pretty hard for me to replies back when hectic schedule due to offline job.But of course no one wanted to get stuck with all those responses as much I could I will comments back. Just like you.

Maybe the one who sent you a private message really expect much of you.Its your choice whether you will respond or not.I even don't mind members who can't attend my response as myself also have this kind of situation too and aware someone gonna question me.

We should be broad minded in this kind of situations.We are all here to enjoy and not to watch over others performance.

Just ignore about that and Keep up the good works.

Just ignore him/her. We are not obliged to reply every discussion here in mylot. He/She is just being selfish. Just do what you usually do here and don't let him/her bother you.

well if we got that many responses well congrats to you.. it was pretty sure a nice discussion.. maybe that person wanted her/his response to be marked as best response and you didn't... well it is not mandatory anyways.. just have it your way and let them have their own business in mylot too...

Of course, it is our own personal choice. Nobody can do anything about it. I am guilty of not commenting on most of my discussions.

But, when I am responding to a discussion, I always hope that the person who has started the discussion will comment back. That is not always the case and it does not make me sad or anything. But once in a while when I do receive a comment to my response I feel elated. It gives me an opportunity to interact with someone.

Ignore those kind of messages. Do mylot whenever you want and as long as you want. It is just good to know that you participate.
